BREANNA

I excused myself from the kitchen, my lips still tingling. This was an interesting development. When I’d left the house the day before, I had been running away from Flynn’s rejection. It seemed like he had reconsidered, and suddenly all options were back on the table.

Even after Connor’s exquisite lovemaking, I still wanted Flynn. Connor had done nothing to dispel the image of Flynn, naked from the waist up, his tattoos still damp. I wanted to run my hands up his chest, to feel the wealth of hard muscle beneath his skin.

That kiss had been even more powerful than I could have imagined. He was one hundred percent man, as gruff and enticing as anyone I had ever met. I knew that sex with Flynn would be something special. He would fulfill my fantasies in a way no other could, and yet…

I went straight to my room and flopped down on my bed, feeling giddy. I had two people in my life now who made my knees weak. Connor, with his opulent condo and his practiced seduction had told me that his door was always open. And Flynn, with his desperate kiss in the kitchen, had promised to fight for my attention.

I must have been the luckiest woman on Earth. I pulled out my phone and dialed Millie.

“Hey girl!” she sang. “How was your night?”

“It was fabulous!” I cried, unable to contain my joy. I rolled over onto my back, staring up at the ceiling as I described Connor’s place. “He didn’t make any secret out of it, he likes sex,” I explained, musing over the previous evening’s festivities.

“So it was good?”

“It was better than good,” I replied. “It was earth shattering.”

“Are you going to see him again?”

“Maybe, I don’t know,” I admitted. The way I’d left it with Connor was that we’d exchanged phone numbers, but we hadn’t made any plans for the future.

I knew that he was in the habit of bedding strange women. He even told me that he enjoyed sleeping with men too. I knew that I was only one of a number of people who had experienced heaven in his condo, but that was okay. I’d needed to get laid, and he had provided the best experience I had ever received.

“He’s kind of a player,” I admitted.

“But you two hit it off?”

“Definitely. He’s sweet, and handsome, and he’s really good in bed.”

“Way to go!”

“But there’s a problem.” I hurried to explain the next half of my dilemma. “My boss, Flynn. He’s hot too, maybe even hotter. He’s got this animal-like quality that drives me crazy.”

“Really? How?”

“He has this beard and all these tattoos. He takes really good care of himself, even though he is older.”

“How old?”

“I don’t know. Early thirties.” For some reason, the age difference didn’t bother me. If anything, it made Flynn even more attractive. I knew that he could satisfy my needs in a way Connor couldn’t. With Flynn, it would be meaningful. I knew he would want more than one night.

“But I thought he turned you down.”

“He did,” I agreed. “But just now when I walked in the door, he kissed me.”

“He what?!” She was on pins and needles, as if my sex life juicy enough to blow all the daytime dramas out of the water.

“He kissed me,” I repeated. “And it was hard and sweet at the same time.”

“So does he want something more?”

“I think so. I told him about Connor, and he said he would fight for me.”

“Wow!” She laughed. “You’re so lucky.”

“I know,” I agreed. “But I don’t know what to do now. If I want to be with Flynn, I think I have to break up with Connor.”
