“Shall we sit down?” Brielle’s question has me realizing that the two men have left, and I was far away in my own thoughts not even noticing their departure, something which I don’t usually do as I am always on my guard.
“Thank you for your healing, I feel so much better.” I confess
Brielle shakes her hand in dismissal, “don’t worry about it, after a few years with various amazing women that have all different gifts, I have got used to the signs of when they have exhausted their energy levels when working their power.” She is looking at me with a knowing look in her eye. “Is there a reason why you would exhaust yourself when you had already found Tal?”
“He was in pain, I wanted to make sure that he was fine.” I say looking away, so she won’t see the truth in my eyes.
“Violet, you don’t know me, but I promise you that I am here to help you with whatever you might need.” I raise my brow in question, “you will find that all the women here and the others that you will find with gifts like ours understand more than you give them credit for. We have all had our own demons to live with before meeting our mates.”
“Why are you saying this to me?” I ask
“You know why, but I am going to leave you now and let you rest a little. If you need anything just follow the corridor, I am in the first door to your left.” With those words she turns and walks away leaving me more confused than ever. Does she know something?
