At his words, I shake my head. “I didn’t touch them.”
My reply has his eyebrows raising.
“You shocked them without touching?”
I nod and he whistles. “Damn, girl, that’s some fine moves you have.”
“When I went to tie them up, they were still sparking,” Dag inputs just as Asgar and Drake walk in. I sense the tension building as the men look at Drake. From what Eirik told me, it was Drake that gave Tor the information about where the Desperados were going to be. It was his fault that they were drawn into a trap. It was his fault that Tal had been taken. Looking at Drake, I see a man with dark brown hair and deep blue eyes looking around nervously as he walks next to Asgar.
“I hear that you got information that wasn’t all that we expected. You want to tell me where it came from?” Wulf asks as he leans against one of the tables looking relaxed, but something tells me that it’s all a farce, and is anything but relaxed.
“One of the girls I see,” Drake replies with a shrug.
“How did this girl know about the information you gave us?” Wulf asks.
“She’s friends with some of the Desperados, said they tell her stuff.”
“You trusted a woman that is friends with the Desperados to give you information that will get them caught?” Eirik asks with a raised brow.
Drake shrugs. “She seemed genuine, and I have known her for a while.”
“Aria?” Draco calls
“He loves this girl, and even though he was suspicious of her information, he believes she wouldn’t lie to him.”
Draco’s eyes are a magnetic blue that just looking at him has chills racing up my spine. I wouldn’t like to be in Drake’s shoes right now.
“So,” Draco says. “You place the whole club’s lives in danger because you believed this woman wouldn’t lie to you.”
“She didn’t lie,” Drake says with conviction.
“How the fuck do you know that? Is she your mate?” Draco suddenly roars, which has Drake jumping in surprise.
“She’s, his sister,” Aria says from behind us, which has Drake’s eyes snap towards her in surprise. Aria’s mind reading is amazing, I never thought that there really were people that could genuinely mind read, but it seems like I was very wrong.
“I want to talk to her!” Draco’s statement has Drake tensing.
“She didn’t do anything wrong,” he replies with conviction. “There must be another explanation.”
“Asgar, go with Drake and bring his sister here,” Draco orders as he turns his back on Drake, ending their conversation. I can see why everyone has so much respect for Draco. It’s evident that he isn’t someone to take lightly, his energy radiates authority. I just hope that this sister of Drake will help us in some way to find Tal.
