“Impressive, isn’t it?”
I like swimming, but it isn’t exactly my type of thing. I’m not an exercising type of person, and I’m more of the sitting somewhere cosy with a book kind of girl.
“There is even a sun bed, which no one uses. You will find that Tor likes to have all the latest gadgets.” Anastasia points towards the door that I assume holds a training room. “That there is the training room, and besides the kitchen and bar, one of the most used rooms in the club.”
We make our way there, entering I see a man in the far corner punching a boxing bag. Again, there is everything a person could need in this room. “Have you met Einar?” I shake my head as I see the man stop his training to turn to us. Wow, Einar has the lightest green eyes I’ve ever seen. His dark, straight, black hair is a contrast that keeps your eyes on him. The man is stunning, but there is an animalistic aura around him that makes you weary.
“Einar, this is Dane’s mate Freya.” The way his eyes catch and hold mine feels like he is reading my very soul. This man is intense.
“You seem better.” His voice is hypnotic like his eyes, everything about this man cries danger.
“I am,” I reply with a tentative smile, but he doesn’t smile back, just continues looking at me.
“We will see you later, Einar.” Anastasia says as she turns, placing her arm through mine to guide me out of the training room and pool area. Once we are outside in the corridor again, she stops. “Don’t mind, Einar. He doesn’t talk much, but he’s a great guy.”
“Yes, looks very friendly.”
At my sarcastic comment, she bursts out laughing. “All the guys here are intense in one way or another. You will get used to it, and you will end up loving them, trust me.”
I don’t know so much about loving or trusting them, but I’m willing to give them a chance. Anastasia walks towards a door which opens to the outside. Stepping out, I smile. Now this is more like it.
“I see that you like this,” Anastasia states, noticing my smile of pleasure
“I love nature, and this is absolutely beautiful.” I look around at the beautiful enclosed landscaped garden. It looks like Tor really does like his creature comforts. “I could spend my life sitting here,” I murmur as I see various types of birds eating from a bird feeder that has been set near a little brook of water.
“You would never say this was here, would you?”
I shake my head. “There’s a man here to see you.” My head snaps around to see a woman standing by the door. “He says he’s your agent.” She doesn’t wait for a reply as she turns to leave.
“And that was Tracy. Don’t mind her, she’s always like that with new people.”
“Whose mate, is she?”
I see Anastasia lift a brow and then grin. “Well, now, that is a long story.” And with those words she inclines her head towards the door. “Shall we go?” I frown but nod. The last thing I feel like doing right now is talking to Tom, but I guess I need to do it sooner or later.
“I still want to hear that long story,” I say, which has Anastasia laughing.
“I’m sure you do.”
