“When you say they’re not quite human, are they aliens?” Katrina claps her hands with a laugh

“Yip, I sure think Draco is a bit of an alien sometimes,” she quips.

“Ignore her,” Saskia says with a laugh, “they have been on earth for centuries, they are more from earth then most humans are. Has Ulrich told you how old he is?” I tense, what does she mean?

“No, why?” I see them looking at each other before Saskia answers.

“They have been living for a very long time, and now you will be too.”

“What does that mean?” I ask, wanting to know exactly what they are trying to imply.

“Well you know the dinosaurs; I think Draco was one of them,” Katrina says with a straight face before Aria elbows her on the side which has them all laughing.

“If he hears you say that you will be in trouble,” Gabriela says with a wink.

“Damn, I must remember to say it in front of him,” she quips.

“You are such a hussy,” Gabriela quips with a laugh.

“Well aren’t you one to talk?” They all laugh which makes me smile, I have never been around a group of women like this four before. “But we are deviating, Anastasia here wants to know what we mean.”

“On the way here, I asked Brandr how old Ulrich was and he says that his definitely in his three hundred’s.” At her statement I laugh, now I know they are pulling my leg.

“Okay, you had me there for a while,” I say as I shake my head, I wonder who put them up to it.

“We aren’t joking, they really are old, and we luckily inherit that from them.” I know my mouth is gaping open, but I seem to not be able to close it. Are they for real?

“You seem a little pale, maybe you should sit down after everything you have just gone through,” Gabriela says as she walks up to me and places her arm around my shoulders, guiding me to the bed.

“Now don’t joke, please tell me the truth.”

“That is the truth sweetheart, you are bonded to an Elemental and your life expectancy has just increased. You will find that you don’t really get sick like you used to, you will feel stronger,” Aria says as I sit on the bed, my back against the headboard which has the three of them turning so that they can see me. Gabriela walks around the bed and takes a seat on the other side. My head is spinning with all the information that they are giving me and I’m still not sure if I can believe them or not, but I guess time will tell.

“There are a few things you need to know,” Saskia says, “Elemental’s are possessive, they do not like other men near their woman. Once you bonded you will find that you cannot be long without your mate, without physically missing him.”

“There is constant danger, even though now it has calmed since we found a cure for their fury,” Gabriela says.

“What do you mean?” I ask with a frown.

“Because Elemental’s live so long, if they don’t find their mate then fury overwhelms them, and they would become Keres which is a similar version of the Elemental’s but evil. Fortunately, a few years back we found a cure which calms their rage, and which stops them from turning into Keres,” Aria explains.

“Yes, things have calmed down considerably since then, but in Cape town there are still some Keres that have been difficult to find and the men think that they are the ones behind the kidnapping of all these women,” Katrina states, “Draco was telling me that the Keres have involved gangs and that makes the situation unstable.” Yes, I remember the two men that took me initially, they looked like they might belong to a gang with their tattoos and the way they were dressed.

“All you need to know is that now you are a part of the Elemental’s MC, the men will die before they let anyone hurt you and we are but a phone call away if you ever need a woman to talk to.”

“But I have a life, I don’t even live in Cape Town, how can I possibly just give everything up and join a motorcycle club?” even just saying the words it sounds crazy.

“You know that this is so much more than just a motorcycle club, with time you will see that there is no other place that you would rather be than right by your man, and the men here at the club will become like family.” This can’t be true; did I knock my head or am I still in captivity and hallucinating all of this?

“No sweetheart, it is all quite true,” Aria answers my thoughts.

“Now enough talk, shall we go down and introduce you to our men?” Katrina says, which has me hesitant as I’m not sure if I want to ever leave this room again.

“Before we go down, you are now the first mate in the Cape Town Chapter. You will be the one that welcomes the other women when they bond with one of the men here, and you will have to be the one that explains all of this to them,” Gabriela says, “Jas was the first one in Nurture Valley, she would have come with us but twisted her ankle when she crashed her motorcycle. Since then that Wulf has her on lockdown,” at that the women laugh.

“That wasn’t a crash, she forgot to put her feet down when she stopped the bike, you can hardly call that a crash when the bike had stopped.” At Katrina’s statement the others grin which has me once again smiling at their camaraderie.

“When will another of the men bond?” I’m not sure I am prepared to welcome anyone into a world which I am not sure about yet.
