“Okay, and that freaks you out because…he’s an ex-cop?” Graves frowns.
I look at him and scowl. “No. I couldn’t care less what he does for a living. I freaked out because he has a dick that I want to impale myself on, and then I realized I’d moved way past the boundaries of Normal Street and moved straight into Whoreville.”
“Wait, what?”
“Hey,” Vega tugs my hand to get my attention, his face clouded with anger.
“Don’t fucking call yourself that. You’re not a whore.”
“Well, what the hell else should I call myself? This is getting ridiculous. I can’t walk past a dick without picking it up and adding it to my collection.”
My breathing is out of control now.
“Okay, calm down, baby. Take a deep breath.” I do as he asks and focus on his voice.
“Good. Now let it out slowly. That’s it. Good girl,” Vega praises as Law rubs my back in circular motions.
“I think something is in the water because I can’t turn it off. I want all of you, but what if it’s more than that? What if I’m just addicted to dick in general, and I’ll take whatever dick is available regardless of the navigator?”
“Okay, this…hold on.” Blink opens the door and disappears before reappearing minutes later with Hank.
“Do you want to fuck Hank?”
“What? Eww. No offense to Hank, but the man is like a father to me. And not in the Daddy-I’ve-been-a-bad-girl-spank-me way.”
“Are we done here? I need to go bleach my fucking ears.” Hank storms off.
“One more. Hold on a sec.” Blink heads off again, and we wait quietly for him to return. This time he comes back with Joey, one of the part-time instructors. He is wearing nothing but a pair of low-slung sweatpants, which I wholeheartedly agree was a wise choice, and a fitted black wife-beater to show off his wide veiny arms.
“What about Joey? Wanna fuck him?”
Joey’s eyes light up, but I run my eyes over him in an assessing way.
“He’s hot. Hot as in honest to God, flick-the-bean-material hot, but no, I don’t want to fuck him.”
I look up at Vega and smile a huge, relieved grin.
“I don’t want to fuck him. I’m cured.”
“Eh, my ego is taking a bit of a blow here. Can I go now?”
“Sorry, Joey. And your ego has nothing to worry about. Trust me. You are some woman’s perfect man. Just not mine.”
He looks relieved to be leaving as he scurries out of the office, muttering something about crazy women as Blink closes the door behind him.
“Okay, how about you explain what set you off?” Blink suggests, leaning against the far wall.
“I…uh… Law asked me out,” I blurt out, and I mentally want to kick my own ass. I’m a motherfucking badass. I have disarmed gun lords, taken down drug dealers, and foiled human trafficking rings. Yet facing off against these guys has turned me into a simpering idiot. This is what happens when I let my vagina do the talking.
I blow out a breath. “He kissed me. I’m sorry. I told him I wanted to talk to you all first, but then he kissed me, and I kind of lost control and kissed him back. Twice.” I wince.
“He wants to date me, but I’m not the only person in this relationship. And I don’t want you to think that I’m going to keep coming home with strange men, even though it seems like the norm lately.”
I snap my mouth shut when I realize I’ve done all the talking.
“Mal, I’m fine with it. It might take some figuring out, but this is too new to put restrictions on it,” Blink reassures me.
“No. This is it. I only want you guys here in this room. I’d like to try to figure out what this will look like, but there will be no others.”
