Samantha
As I get ready for my date with Liam, I can’t stop thinking about Asher. I can’t forget the awesome sex that we had two nights ago. It was just so incredible.
Not only that- but he was so much fun to talk to and to just be around. The conversations we had at the restaurant really made me feel like we were connecting.
I put on my false eyelashes and then apply mascara. I don’t really want to go out with Liam tonight, but I’ve got to stick with the plan. I just hope that I am not going to like him as much as I like Asher.
To tell you the truth, I don’t want to like either one of these men. This is my father’s plan- not mine.
The doorbell rings. Liam is right on time. I walk to the front door and open it to see the tall blonde man standing there.
“You look fantastic,” Liam says.
“Thank you very much.”
“Are you ready?”
Liam reaches out for my hand, and I give it to him. As I get closer to him, I smell his aftershave. It is a sharp, spicy fragrance that I love.
“You’re wearing that new scent by Givenchy, aren’t you?”
“How did you know?”
“I did a photo shoot for Givenchy and that’s what they were promoting for the men.”
“That’s right, you’re a model.”
I nod my head. I lock the front door and we walk to his truck. On the way to the restaurant, we manage to participate in a polite conversation, and when we get to the restaurant, Liam is nice enough to come open the door for me.
When we arrive, there is a crowd of people waiting in the front lobby. Liam goes to the hostess and gives our name. He comes back to me and asks if I wouldn’t mind sitting at the bar while we wait.
“How long will we have to wait?” I ask, slightly disappointed.
“I’m sorry but I didn’t make reservations. We could be waiting almost an hour.”
Already I am not liking the way that Liam is clearly not prepared for our dinner date. Asher got us to a table right away without even having to wait.
The hostess leads us to the bar. I sit on a stool that’s at the end of the bar and Liam sits next to me. We both order drinks and the bartender gets them for us quickly. I take a big sip of my rum and coke.
“So, do you like to model?”
“It’s been good to me, but I’m thinking that maybe I should study photography. Looks won’t last forever,” I put my drink down.
“Your looks are classic; I doubt you’d ever have trouble getting picked for a shoot.”
I smile at him.
“That’s a sweet thing to say.”
Liam and I begin a conversation about our work lives. I think it’s admirable the way Liam talks about his land.
“What would you be doing if you weren’t a rancher?”
“That’s easy- I’d love to be a gigolo.”
“What?” I practically choke on my rum.
“You heard me. I would like to sleep with women and get paid for it.”
