Hunter’s visibly agitated. ‘Not a big deal? What the fuck was your mum thinking? I’ll drive you.’
‘They want me to go in the car with them.’
‘What? Why?’
I swallow. ‘I need you to call my dad. Tell him exactly what happened. Can you please do that for me?’
He shakes his head, jaw working. ‘If those arseholes so much as make you cry, I’m burning that station to the ground with them in it.’
I press my eyes shut when he turns away and heads for the house.
Hunter looks in the direction of the car. ‘It’s her birthday. You better make her a proper coffee with that fancy machine of yours.’
I walk over to where Harry’s holding the back door open for me and climb inside.
