“That’s debatable.”
“Fine, one egg over medium.”
He grabbed the phone. “Fantastic. I’m a protein pusher. Go ahead and go back to what you’re doing, and I’ll get this ordered.”
“Researching the place where I have an interview next week.” She made her way back to the couch, hitting a light switch on the way.
While he waited for his call to be put through, he smiled slightly at the image of her curled up on the couch again.
This girl—who’d just had sex for the first time last night—studied up on a possible employer like nothing exciting was going on. All while strutting around her hotel room wearing nothing but panties.
God help him, but waiting until after breakfast to touch her again was going to be hard as hell.

Kristen sat onthe couch, legs folded under her butt, scrolling through the website. While her gaze stayed trained on the words in front of her, her mind thought about the sexy paramedic standing naked across the room ordering her breakfast.
She lifted her eyes to look over a book and let out a sigh.
That butt. It looked like some artist had carved out of stone. Every part of him did, really.
And his penis sure had felt like it was last night.
That had her giggling softly, but just remembering the sensation of having him inside her turned her laugh into a sigh and made her all tingly and warm again.
You’re studying a job, not anatomy, girl. Get it together.
“Done. Should be about forty-five minutes.” Blake came to sit next to her on the couch. “Am I distracting you if I sit here?”
“You’re pretty much distracting me by breathing the same air I am, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
“Yeah?” He gave her a slow grin.
“Yeah.” She glanced over at him. He looked totally at ease with his arms thrown over the back of the couch and his legs stretched out in front—oh my God.
He was completely—and unabashedly—rock hard.
“Umm.”
“What is it?”
“Doesn’t that hurt?” She nodded her chin at his erection.
Blake glanced down. “This? Nah, hurt’s not the right word. It just…exists.”
“Is that normal?”
“In the morning it is. Most of the time.” He frowned. “Kind of surprised he’s so ready and raring to go, though, given the night we had.”
She flushed, unable to take her gaze off it.
“Maybe not completely a surprise.” He smirked. “You’re sitting there half-naked with a computer. The whole visual is pretty hot.”
It still weirded her out that he kept referring to her as sexy and hot. She’d never felt like that girl. But the more he looked at her that way, she was starting to.
She shut her book, shifted to face him, and touched his thigh. “Can I help?”
His smile grew strained, even as heat flashed in his eyes. “We’ve got breakfast coming.”
