When Onyx caught sight of her, he turned fully and pulled her in close for a kiss.

“Ready to go?”

She held up her shoes, trying not to get lost in the kiss like she wanted to. “Just need to put these on.”

“Allow me.”

Azura blinked when the shoes were removed from her hands and placed down next to her feet. Her eyes widened when she watched as Onyx knelt in front of her and wrapped a gentle hand around her ankle, tugging it off the floor.

What is he …?

She bit her lip and reached out to rest a hand on his shoulder, balancing herself. Onyx gently guided the shoe on her foot, kissing up the length of her ankle to her calf before placing it back down onto the ground and grabbing for her other side.

This man is unreal … how in the world did I get so lucky?

As soon as her other shoe was on her foot, he tilted her forward and scooped her up into his arms while standing.

“Shall we?”

“Where are we going?”

Onyx headed outside with her, planting a kiss on the side of her forehead. A black car sat at the end of the driveway, the door open and waiting for them.

“I wanted to take you out on a boat ride. I remember you mentioning that you loved the color of the ocean this time of night.”

She felt her eyes widen. “Really?”

He chuckled and bent to place her inside the car. Azura tucked herself inside so he could close the door without catching her. As soon as Onyx slid into the other side, the car took off.

“I think you’ll like the spot I’m taking us.”

She looked at him.

“What kind of boat do you have?”

“Well, it’s not like the kind of boats you may have on earth, but I suppose the closest comparison would be a yacht.”

That made Azura’s heart soar. She’d never dreamed that she would be able to ever ride on a yacht, especially with someone as refined and influential as Onyx. Yachts were only for the kinds of privileged people that Azura watched on TV or saw in magazines. Not for people like her.

“I can’t wait.”

Once they pulled up to the dock, Onyx hopped out of the car and quickly came around to open her side of the car. She smiled up at him when he opened it and took her hand to help her out.

“This way.”

She laced their fingers together, entranced by the beautiful sunsets overlooking the water. She couldn’t get over seeing a dual sunset. It was a tranquil kind of night that made Azura feel at peace amongst the craziness from the past few days.

She couldn’t help but laugh when Onyx scooped her up again and carried her onto the boat. True to his word, it was as big as a yacht and maybe even fancier than one too. It had at least two levels and a small patio attached to the observation deck.

There were string lights strung up along the railings that stretched up onto poles near the front and sides of the boat, creating almost a canopy over the patio. The entire scene made Azura’s mouth drop open.

“Wow …!”

Onyx set her down carefully. “Do you like it? I wanted it to be romantic.”

She turned to him. “It really is.”

“Good,”
