“It’s okay, Azura,” he said, his voice even. “There’s time.”

She let out a deep breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. She pulled one of the plates toward her, trying to distract herself with hot melted chocolate and moist lava cake.

Since she kept imagining spreading it across Onyx’s wide chest and hard abs and then licking it off, she only ended up even more aroused.

Every time she looked up at him, there was an amused glint in his eyes that made her feel like he knew exactly what she was thinking. She managed to get through dessert without embarrassing herself too much and said a courtly good night to him before retreating to her room.

As she prepared for bed, she tried to settle her thoughts and gain control of her emotions. The major problem was she didn’t know what she was really feeling.

Right now, it’s just full-on lust. That’s not a great way to start a relationship.

The thought made sense to her, in theory. Her body simply disagreed.

She tucked herself into the massive bed, trying to relax and think of things that calmed her. It did no good. Warm, liquid chocolate spread across her thoughts, spilling out of her waking mind to flood her dreams. She could feel it, not just taste it on her tongue.

As Onyx’s hands found her breasts and his hard body pressed against hers, the taste on her tongue only intensified. She trembled, knowing that this had to be a dream.

I hope it is because I can’t say no this time.

She opened herself to Onyx, feeling his gentle but firm hands all over her as they twisted together, licking chocolate off each other’s bodies. By now, Azura knew it was a dream, but she didn’t want to wake.
