Chapter Eleven
MAVERICK
Her lips tasted like bitter grapes and her tongue like sweet wine.
I kissed her right there in the hallway, knowing that the risk level was only a notch or two abovebe careful.
She grabbed for my face, her nails scratching at skin.
My hands were glued to those hips of hers.
Holding tight, pulling her against me, feeling a sense of comfort that I had been eager to feel since the last time I held her like this.
Madison broke the kiss.
I watched the tip of her tongue slide along her bottom lip.
“Fuck,” she whispered. “Get in here right now.”
I took one step and she pointed to the floor. “Grab the bag with the camera lenses. You probably paid a fortune for those. Don’t want them stolen.”
Something about Madison was just so…weird. Yet sexy too.
She was jumpy and nervous. But she had this beauty about her. Her eyes were deep. Meaningful. Not to mention the subtle curves on her body were just simply killer.
The kind of shape that kept a normally happily sleeping man like me awake, forever tempted to reach under the covers and stroke my cock to life and beyond.
Except now I had her for myself again.
“Lock the door behind you,” Madison said. “Not that it matters.”
“Why doesn’t it matter?” I asked.
“Too many people have a key.”
“What? What is this? A brothel?”
Madison curled her lip. “So, I’m a whore now?”
“How many keys have you given out to this place?” I asked.
“I meant for Zoe and Eva. They have keys to get in.”
“Oh,” I said. “So you think your friends are going to bust in while we’re screwing?”
“You know, this level of confidence isn’t attractive on you,” she said. “You’re just assuming because you’re in my apartment you’re going to get laid.”
“First off, you invited me in,” I said. “You said you wanted me to fuck you. And your shirt is halfway off…”
Madison looked down at herself and gasped.
Her arms were crisscrossed, her fingers curled around the bottom of her shirt. She had the shirt pulled up to her bra.
“Fine,” she said. “I’m done helping you out.”
Madison pulled her shirt back down and folded her arms.
I moved closer to her, grinning. “Are you always like this? You can’t make a decision for a second, can you?”
