Ranvir felt his balls tightening and knew he was close, but he refused to go without her. Leaning down, he captured one of her breasts, sucking it deep into his mouth as he changed the angle of his thrusts. The dual assault had her entire body tensing beneath him, her legs pulling him impossibly deeper. She screamed his name seconds later. Her channel clamped painfully down around him. It had his orgasm roaring through him, and with one final thrust, he exploded.

Taly lay draped over Ranvir’s chest, breathing hard and listening to his pounding heart slowly resume its normal pace. Before he collapsed, he’d rolled onto his back, pulling her on top of him.

Absently, she ran her hand over his chest and tried to pull her scattered thoughts together. She’d never experienced an orgasm like that before. It had been more than physical. She swore she’d felt Ranvir touch her soul. Whoever had said cyborgs were cold and emotionless had obviously never been with one. Ranvir was the most passionate male she’d ever met. It might be hidden beneath a cool exterior, but it was there.

Feeling Ranvir’s arms tighten, she lifted her head and found concern-filled brown eyes staring at her. Reaching up, she cupped his cheek. “I’m fine, Ranvir.”

“I didn’t harm you?”

“Of course not,” she immediately denied. “Why would you think you did?”

“I lost control.”

“Which I thoroughly enjoyed.” The small smile she gave him turned serious as she asked. “Are you okay?”

“Me? Of course, I am.”

“You were upset when you arrived.” She reminded him. “Why? What happened?”

“Just a misunderstanding with Tane,” he told her. “It has been resolved.”

Pushing up so her elbows rested on his chest, her gaze searched his. “A misunderstanding that had you storming into my suite? Throwing me on my bed? And claiming I’m ‘yours’?”

“Are you not?” he demanded.

“I’d like to be,” she murmured, gazing uncertainly at him. “But…”

“But what?”

“But if we are going to do this, be together, then we have to be honest with each other. And right now, you’re lying to me.”

“I’m notlying. A lie is a false statement told to deceive deliberately. I did not do that.”

“No, you didn’t. You also aren’t telling me what the disagreement was about.” Seeing the stubborn set of his jaw, Taly pushed away from him and moved to get out of bed.

She didn’t know why she was pushing this. Probably because she needed something, just one thing she could be sure of when the rest of the universe was against them. She’d thought Ranvir could be that. Now she wasn’t so sure.

Sitting up, Ranvir turned her around to face him. “It means that much to you? To know?”

“Yes. People have lied to me my whole life, Ranvir. My parents. My agents. It was always with good reasons, but those reasons have always benefitedthem, not me, and now for the first time in my life, I can truly do what I want.”

“And what you want is to be told the truth.” His gaze searched hers wanting to be sure.

“Yes.” She told him, not a hint of doubt in her voice.

“Tane claimed he thought he was in love with you,” he finally told her.

“What?!” She’d never given the cyborg the slightest bit of encouragement.

“It enraged me, thinking he was trying to lay claim to you. I would have killed him if Ganesha and Pike hadn’t stopped me.”

Taly could understand his reaction because if the situation were reversed and another female said that about Ranvir, she’d want to claw her eyes out. Ranvir was hers.

Rising on her knees, she framed his face with her hands. “I’m not interested in anyone but you, Ranvir.” She leaned in and lightly kissed his lips. “Just you.” She kissed him again. “Only you.”

Straddling his thighs, she pushed him onto his back as her hands explored his body. His pecs flexed as her nails lightly grazed his skin, leaving faint marks. Leaning down, she gently kissed the minor injuries before dragging her tongue over one of his dark, flat nipples, nipping at it until it hardened, then moved on to the other.
