“Are you sure?”

“Yes,” I said. My hand reached for him, stroking him, touching him, proving to him that I wanted this with him.

I’d been through hell today, but the other girls, the ones who were supposed to be my friends, had been through so much worse. Jayden didn’t have to tell me what he’d witnessed to see the pain and anguish behind that steel gaze.

His warmth filled me, fueled me, and made me forget the pain and ache that had been darkening my heart.

I wrapped my legs around him and pulled him deeper and tighter with each thrust. My fingers dug into his shoulder, marking him.

Jayden grunted and he pulled out, running a hand through his hair. His eyes looked distraught.

“Are you seriously going to tease me to death?” Why the hell had he stopped?

“This was not how I wanted our first time to be,” he rasped, meeting my stare. “You deserve better.”

“I’m not sure about that.” I laughed darkly. I stared at him, my gaze unwavering. My fingers trailed a delicate path down his chest. “Please, I just want to feel something other than regret, and with you, I could never regret this.”

Jayden’s lips came down hard on mine. “I’ve imagined fucking you in the bar for the past several months,” he whispered. “But you deserve the royal treatment. Wine, dinner, and lots of foreplay.”

“That sounds nice for next time. Tonight, I don’t care that it’s in the bathroom or if it were in the bar. I just want to listen to you moan and hear you scream my name.”

“Bossy.” Jayden laughed. His fingers tangled in my hair as he brought my lips down to his, clinging to me, our kisses fiery and feisty as he entered me again.

I moaned in pleasure. I wanted him to know that he made me feel good, and I didn’t want him to have any further second thoughts.

There would be no regrets tonight, at least not between the two of us.

My eyes slammed shut as the sensation grew, building and intensifying.

“Come for me, Skylar,” he whispered into my ear.

I tightened around him, my insides pulsating. Already I was so close, teetering on edge. My toes curled, and I listened as he grew near.

Everything felt like fireworks exploding around me as I trembled in his embrace, gasping for breath as we both came undone.

“Shower?” he mumbled as he slid out and tossed the condom into the trash.

I laughed under my breath. That was why I joined him in the bathroom. I slid off the counter, my legs like jelly.

Jayden steadied me, his hands on my hips. “Are you okay?”

I nodded, staring up at him. “Perfect.”
