His finger stroked my jaw before he grabbed my chin and yanked on my face hard, bringing my gaze staring into his cold, lifeless eyes.
I held my breath.
“Disobey any of my men, and they will put a bullet in your head. Then, we’ll hunt down your pretty little boyfriend,” Angelo said.
He released his tight grip on my face, and I breathed a sigh, though I didn’t feel relieved, not yet. It was far from over.
“I want you back here by midnight with three girls. They better be young, fresh, and full of life.” Angelo shot Ben a hard glare.
There was something unsaid between them.
A heaviness hung in the air.
Was it about me?
“Let’s go,” Ben grunted, and pointed at the hallway.
Wordlessly, I stepped out of the prison cell and followed Ben down the narrow hallway. I kept my head down. I didn’t want to be here, and I sure as hell didn’t want to get myself further involved in this mess.
I needed a plan, and I needed one fast.
Abduct three girls by midnight?
If I wasn’t going to jail, I’d be going to Hell.
