“No, I guess you can’t,” I said, glancing at my bag on the bed. “But the beaches, you have to admit that is a perk, even with the smog.”
He laughed under his breath. “Maybe I should be more direct. Stay for me,” Lincoln said, pulling me into his embrace.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned up, my lips caressed his. “Won’t you get tired of me?”
“I don’t believe that’s possible.” He didn’t so much as loosen his hold on me, his arms wrapped around my lower back.
“Are you asking me to move in with you?”
A huge smile spread across Lincoln’s face. “I swear if you’re teasing me woman, I don’t think I can take it.”
My lips crushed his. “Do you see me laughing?” I would need to return to Los Angeles, if only to bring back some of my things.
