“Vix. We will talk about this later!” He barks as he steps out onto the back patio.
Insert bow, Yes, your majesty.
It’s been two days since we had our moment in the pantry. I’m not reading into it. He’s the president of a motorcycle club and I’m a boarding school virgin. I'm not expecting him to fall madly in love with me or make me his “old lady” as they call it. We kissed. It was fun. Okay, it was more than fun, and the orgasm was mind blowing, but I have a feeling he hands those out like Oprah, so I’m not tricking myself into feeling special. I’m just another girl with a nice rack to him.
I’m sweeping the main room. I know they have a house cleaner but it’s my day off and I feel bad for not helping out since I do live here rent free. The front door opens, and a woman walks in. I haven’t seen her before. She is a little taller than me with a short, brown, bob haircut. She looks maybe late thirties.
“Well look who finally showed up!” Gerry grins and walks over to hug her.
“Girl, it’s been a rough few months. I'm glad to be back!” The woman glances at me and smiles.
“Oh! Tanner, this is Ember. She is with Knuckles.” Gerry ushers me over to her.
“Hi nice to meet you, I’m Dom’s sister.” I sat the broom down and shook her hand.
“Oh wow! I had no idea he had a sister. It’s great to meet you. Dom is such a great guy.” She walks over to the bar and sets down her purse.
“Yeah, he’s alright,” I joke with a laugh.
“Well we are definitely glad you are back; it’s just been me, Dani, Maxine, and Tanner here trying to ward off the club sluts,” Gerry hisses.
I giggled at the way Gerry said sluts.
“Don’t worry girl, you know I don’t tolerate no bullshit.” She hops up on a barstool and crosses her legs.
Dang, I think I like her too.
“Ember has been around for a while. Were you sixteen when you got with Knuckles?” Gerry asks.
“Yep. I tell you there ain’t no woman better than this one here,” she says as she reaches out and hugs Gerry’s shoulders.
“I agree with you there.” I smile and pick up the broom.
“Now stop that. Ember, are you hungry? I can whip you up something?” Gerry asks with a charming smile.
“That actually sounds great. I haven’t had good home cooking in ages. Hospital food has been my life the last few months,” she says as she follows Gerry back to the kitchen.
Hospital?
I shrug to myself and turn on my music. I finished sweeping the floor. I may have used the broom for a mic stand when Cher came on. Don’t judge me.
I hadn’t seen Maverick all day. The clubhouse was pretty vacant. I felt like something was going down tonight by the way they were acting. Even Travis came by my room to “hang out” for a little while. I’m relaxing on my bed watching Netflix, waiting for Dani to get off work. My phone buzzes on my nightstand.
Zeke: I need you and Dani to stay at the clubhouse tonight.
Vix: Can’t. I have a hot date.
Zeke: I’m serious. Your ass better be at the clubhouse.
Vix: Is everything ok?
Zeke: Everything is fine. Lock your door.
Vix: (eye roll emoji) Yes sir.
Zeke: Be good baby.
I sigh and lean back against the headboard. Baby. I hate it. Okay, that’s a lie, I like it. It gives me butterflies in my stomach and that’s something I don’t need. Not for him.
