He swirled his tongue around my other nipple and blindly reached over to grab his phone. “Or maybe I should let it ring,” he said as he held the buzzing device against my clit, making my body sing with pleasure.
Holy fuck.
He looked up at me with a smirk, then swiped his finger across the screen. “Yes?”
The buzzing stopped, and I wanted to press my pussy against the cool glass of the phone, to grind against the smooth surface. The pressure inside me was building again, and I needed relief.
“Good morning, Mr. Donahue. This is Mrs. Talbot with Premier Title. We seem to be missing some of your paperwork, and we need you to come down and sign again as soon as possible.”
Caspian bit the inside of my thigh, and I whimpered. “What do you meanmissing paperwork? The woman at your office assured me everything was done.”
The woman cleared her throat. “It looks like the deed wasn’t signed. I can’t finalize it with the county clerk’s office until this is taken care of.”
“Then send a courier here, and I’ll sign it.”
“Unfortunately, it has to be done at our office. I apologize for the inconvenience.”
“Fuck. Okay, I’ll be right there.” He tossed the phone to the other side of the bed and spread my thighs wide. “Right after I make you come on my face.”
He scooped his hands underneath my ass, raising me to meet his mouth. My body pulsed with heat as his tongue slid over my clit, down my center, to my waiting entrance. Again and again. He traced every part of me, like he couldn’t get enough of my taste. And then he dug his fingers into my flesh and pulled me closer, letting his tongue dip inside my hole. I parted my thighs wider, shamelessly begging for more of his mouth. I writhed beneath him, ground against him until there was nothing else but me and him and the slick sounds of my pleasure filling the air. My hands fisted the sheets, grabbed his hair. It was too much and not enough. He moved his mouth to my clit, and my body shivered and quaked, then within moments, I was there, shattering, flying, coming apart with a ferocity I never wanted to end.
And then he was on top of me, crushing my mouth in a brutal kiss that tasted like me. Hot strokes of his tongue that were potent and urging, steel and silk, with a possessiveness that had me on the precipice of coming undone all over again.
He pulled away from my mouth, biting my bottom lip with a groan. “Don’t even think about leaving. I’m not done with you yet.” He gave my ass a squeeze, then climbed out of bed and walked across the room, not one bit bothered by his nakedness. Then again, neither was I.
I propped up on one elbow and watched him as he got dressed, jealousy gnawing at me that he was going to see another woman, regardless of who that woman was.
He leaned down and kissed my forehead. “I’ll be back in thirty minutes. An hour, tops.”
I smiled and tapped an imaginary watch on my wrist. “Better hurry. You’re on the clock.”
As soon as he was gone and the room was quiet, all the emotions I’d bottled up last night came bubbling back to the surface. The more I thought about what my father had planned with Khalid, the more my anger pushed past the pain. It ticked and ticked like a bomb inside my chest, ready to explode.
A mountain was only formed when the earth around it had been shaken. I’d been shaken plenty. Now I was ready to rise.
I threw on one of Caspian’s T-shirts, then went downstairs and looked for my phone. I needed to call my dad and let him know I’d be moving out of the Hampton house soon, and I couldn’t wait for him to ask me why. I had no idea where I would go. Maybe I could stay with Lincoln until I figured it out. Maybe I would stay here. I just knew I didn’t want to bethere.
There was no sign of my phone anywhere. I mentally retraced my steps until it dawned on me that I’d left it in the ballroom. I was so intent on getting away from Caspian that I didn’t think about grabbing it.
Shit.
The elevator doors slid open right as I was headed toward the stairs.
I twirled around and pulled my bottom lip between my teeth. “That was quick. You must have really missed me.”
Fear pricked the back of my neck all the way down my spine when he walked into the room. His smile was wide and malicious, and his soulless eyes held me in place.
I swallowed. “Mr. Donahue. Caspian didn’t tell me you were coming.”
Caspian’s father strode toward me, and my heart flailed around wildly in my chest. “Of course, he didn’t. I’m not here for him.”
