“What the fuck happened to you?” Finn barks when he looks up from the paper in his hands and takes in my appearance.
“Your fucking sister-in-law happened.”
He gives me a look, needing more than that.
I hold my hand up. “Do. Not. Fucking. Ask.” I take a seat beside him. “Let’s just get this over with.”
Kelsey hands me a stack of papers, clearly sensing I don’t want to fucking talk about it. I feel Finn’s gaze on me, and I look up from the paperwork.
“You know, when I told you to go get caffeine, I thought maybe you’d drink it, not pour it all over yourself. Is that what kids these days are doing?”
I take a page from my nemesis’s playbook and glare at him.
“Yeah, sorry, that was my one and only joke.”
If only I actually believed that.
