Her eyes sharpen. “If you don’t like that I want Lief and Hunter too, I’ll respect it, but I won’t let you make me feel bad about it repeatedly. You were more than happy to share me with them that one night.”
I sigh. “I know. I just haven’t done it for more than one night, I guess. I keep feeling like if you need them, it’s because I’m not good enough.”
“I like you all for different reasons. It’s weird, I know. I’m still … confronting that, but making me choose between the three of you is impossible. And if I did choose, how would that be for those that aren’t chosen? You can’t tell me that it would be good for your friendship.”
Rather than continuing to talk about it, I fuck her senseless, just like I promised. We go another two rounds together before Valerie is exhausted. Not that I can blame her. Four rounds of sex plus plenty of foreplay.
But I can’t sleep. Not with the idea of either sharing her or losing her. Because I know those are the options. She won’t come between us. And at first, it was just sex so there wasn’t any harm, but now … after being with her, seeing her strength, getting to know her, and never running out of things to talk about, I don’t know if I could give her up.
What if she chose Lief? Would Hunter or I be able to accept that without flirting with her, without angling to get her back? I know if she chose Hunter, I’d have to walk away. Something about that is just so wrong to me.
Valerie tugs me around her, so I’m spooning her. “Stop thinking, Chase. Thinking can wait until tomorrow.”
I snuggle against her. “Not exactly something I can turn off.”
“I’ll never feed the jealousy,” She murmurs. “I won’t. Everyone gets dates, we can go out together too.”
“That simple, huh?”
“It works for Sophie,” She hums, lacing her fingers through mine. “And if Gunner can pull it off …”
I laugh and kiss her neck. I press my nose to her hair and close my eyes. “How can you avoid playing favorites?”
“Because you’re all my favorite. I like talking to you and spending time with you because you don’t hide things from me. I like sparring with Hunter, the power plays. And I like to pick Lief’s mind. I like how he and I can sit in a room and just be comfortable next to each other. You all are so different I don’t have to worry about favorites.”
I exhale heavily and kiss her shoulder. “This is … different.”
“I know.” She rubs her ass against me. “Want to do me again before I fall asleep?”
“No, I’ll just wake you up with my mouth,” I smirk against her skin.
She moans. “I’ve never had that before.”
“Good, I’ll claim a first.”
“You’re racking those up fast.”
But our conversation goes more nonsensical as sleep starts to claim her. I manage a few hours of sleep too before I keep to my promise and slide under the covers to eat her out as a good morning.
She moans and pulls me into deliciously sweet and soft morning sex. Unfortunately, we do have a check-out time. So we get everything together and I take her out for breakfast. She wears a gorgeous dress that’s out of place, but rather than looking ridiculous or uncomfortable she owns it.
I happily take advantage of her time, stroking her hand as she tells me stories of college, of meeting Sophie, of ways she beat her brother, Tristan, in Ski-ball and other games when they’d go to those kid places to play them.
“Some of those games are luck,” I dismiss as we walk back to the car.
“Oh yeah? Maybe I’ll have to prove otherwise,” She teases. “They have adult versions of the games. All four of us could go play, drink, and I’d beat you all.”
I arch an eyebrow. “Someone’s cocky.”
“I could say that’s your fault.” She winks at me, then looks right at my crotch. “Considering how often I had your cock inside me yesterday.”
My lips curl up despite my attempt to stop it. Something about her just makes me feel … wonderful. I like talking with her, spending time together, how she works to spoil me with attention and affection, and really wanting to take care of me in ways I’ve never experienced.
Dropping her off at her apartment is a tragedy. I only get in a few kisses before I worry about the paparazzi. Valerie waves with the promise of texting me and heads inside. I get home wearing a huge smile on my face, holding the giant stingray with pride.
Hunter glances from it to me and jerks his head to the conference room. Father isn’t there, just Hunter, Lief, and me. Lief nods to the plush. I glare at him. “It’s from Valerie.”
“Stefan is a concern. His girlfriend is a celebrity photographer. She saw you and Valerie together.”
