THE HOUSE SMELLS AMAZING. Cass is making all the baked goods while we wait for the turkey to come. It’sstillnot here. At this point, we won’t be having a turkey for supper, and I’m fucking pissed.Watch me call every connection I know to buy one right off someone's table.I know that sounds drastic but don’t fuck with a girl and her turkey dinner.
The timer goes off for the pumpkin pie as I walk into the kitchen, but no one is in the room to take it out. I grab the turkey shaped oven mitts and take it out myself.Where is Cass?
I head off in search of him and end up finding him in the laundry room.
“What do we have here?” I ask, looking at the new appliance he's in the process of setting up.
He turns around to look at me. “A new freezer. Says it's big enough for one person.”
Cocking my head to the side as I look at the freezer, observing it. “I don't know. Maybe if that person was super skinny.”
“Nah, if we chopped him up into smaller pieces a good sized dude should be able to fit in there,” Neo says, joining us in the room.
“I meant it fits enough to feed one man,” Cass deadpans.
“Hey, I believe in using things to their fullest potential.” I shrug.
“I don't even wanna know,” Dean calls out, after only hearing a snippet of our conversation while passing by the door.
“Wanna hop in and test it out?” Neo calls back with a grin.
“That’s what Axel’s for isn't it?” Dean retorts.
“Fuck, yeah! Go get him,” I cheer, my smile growing with the idea of shoving his big ass in this small freezer, but then I’d probably want to lock his ass in it and leave him in there.
As if on cue, Axel walks in followed by Rosie.
“What are you guys doing in here? And why are you all looking at me like that?” he asks, looking from Neo to me. “And what's that for?” He nods towards the freezer.
“For you. Hop in,” I say, patting the top with a wicked grin.
Axel slowly backs away. “I’m not prepared for this level of‘crazy’today.”
Neo roars with laughter.
“Can I go in!?” Rosie asks
Cass picks her up and heads away from the room. “Absolutely not.”
“I still think we should test it out,” Neo says, amusement shining bright in his eyes.
“Think Cass would notice if we borrow it?”
“Yes, he will!” Cass calls out, making Neo and I burst into laughter.
“I’M GLAD YOU AGREEDto come,” I say, hugging Sam as he and Evie walk through the door.
“This is my first Thanksgiving dinner in... God, I don't even remember ever having one,” he says with a sad smile.
“Well, you're family now. That bumps you right to the top, you know, of everyone who isn't one of my lovers.” I smile. Something flashes in his eyes, but it's gone before I can pinpoint what it was that I saw.
“I’m happy to be here,” he responds.
“And hello, my love.” I give Evie a sexy smile, pulling her into my arms and kissing the hell out of her. She moans into my lips, her hands gripping the front of the baggy sweatshirt that I changed into earlier.
“Hi,” she says breathily as we break apart.
“I missed you,” I say, grabbing her ass and giving it a good squeeze. I really want to drag her into my room right now.
