“Me either. But it feels right. I know it. I know it more than I’ve ever known anything in my life.”

She nodded again, so delicious and cute in my arms. “Yes…”

“I can’t be without you after this, Jane,” I told her.

“I don’t want to be without you either,” she whispered.

“Then we won’t,” I smiled. “This is just the beginning of us.”

Jane smiled and nuzzled her head into my neck and whispered. “Does that mean we can’t do any more photoshoots, though?”

“Are you kidding?” I chuckled. “I’ve only just started my private collection. I’m not about to stop now!”

Chapter Eleven

Jane

My head was in the clouds on my way back to my apartment. I would have stayed with him forever, but needed to get my things and the rest of my life in order before I moved in with the man of my dreams. Besides, my brain wasn’t working right, not by a long shot.

…I guess that’s what happens when you fall deeply and madly in love.

And to think that it had been one random photoshoot that Janice had brought me to with her that lead me to him. Completely out of the blue, I’d been struck with a heat seeking missile that was Shane Mason, and I’d never be the same again.

I’d never felt that kind of attraction before—never, and I’d given myself over to him so willingly, with barely a second thought.

But it had felt so right, so natural, like it was meant to happen, and he’d taken me like the dominant man he was and showed me a whole new world of bliss. I’d done so many firsts with him and I couldn’t wait to keep going.

I was his now and he was mine.

My man. His woman.

I was smiling like an idiot when I stepped back into my apartment, and was surprised to find Janice sitting miserably on the couch with a wine bottle, half empty, beside her.

“Where have you been?” she asked.

“Oh, hey!” I blurted out. “Weren’t you—didn’t you go to bed?”

“Couldn’t sleep,” she replied. She was pretty drunk. “But seriously, where have you been? Tinder date again?”

“No…”

“Then why are you shiny?” she asked. “Did you go for a run or something?”

Janice quickly got up from the couch and snatched my arm and felt my skin. Her eyes went wide.

“Oil! What the fuck? Why are you oiled up?”

“Ow, you’re hurting me!” I snapped, pulling away from her. She slumped back down on the couch glaring at me.

“Let me see your Instagram,” she growled.

“Uh, no?”

“Let me see it!” she roared. She leapt at me. I couldn’t even believe it. I tried to get out of the way, but she landed on me with the full force of her body and snatched my phone from my hands.

“Give it back, Janice!” I shouted as she raced to the kitchen, putting the countertop island between us. “What the fuck!?”

But Janice wasn’t listening. She opened the app and started scrolling. If she saw his message…
