I pressed my ear to her belly. “Do you think it’s going to be a boy or a girl?”
“I’m not sure,” she admitted, running her fingers through my hair.
“When do we get to find out?”
“Around the eighteen-week mark. Roughly another month.”
“Can we come with you when you go to the doctor to find out?” Dylan asked. “It might be a little crowded in the exam room, but…”
Julia smiled, her whole face lighting up. “We’ll fit. I want you all there when we do the sonogram. Although my sister seems pretty adamant that I’m going to have a girl. She said something about how I’m hanging low, but I have no idea how she knows…” She smacked her forehead.
I glanced up at her. “What’s wrong?”
“Oh, shit. I forgot to call her after I hit Dylan with my car. She’s going to kill me.”
