I never said I was one of the good guys. In fact, I was a very, very bad guy. Bianca D’Angelou would learn soon enough.

The next day, I didn’t leave my room at all. Instead, I paced back and forth or sat staring at the clock, counting down the minutes until Dominic would be back in my room.
At seven, I showered for the second time. By nine, my hair cascaded down my back in soft waves. My makeup was on, and I wore my nicest panty set. If I was going to do this, I wanted to at least feel pretty and not like the dumpster fire I was.
At ten on the dot, there was a soft knock on my door. Swallowing, I got to my feet to peek through the small peephole to see Dominic waiting, his forearms resting against the doorjamb, his head down. His tight, black t-shirt clung to his body, his jeans hanging low.
He looked like a wet dream come to life. Except this wasn’t a dream. It was my damn nightmare.
I carefully opened the door. His pushed off the frame and moved into my room silently, a single red rose in his hand. I quickly closed the door behind him and latched it before turning back to him.
“For you,” he said softly, offering me the rose.
I swallowed hard and took the bloom from him, admiring how pretty it was. He closed the space between us and cradled my cheek, his green eyes filled with storm clouds as he studied me.
“Do you realize what our deal means?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
“Tell me.”
I licked my lips. His eyes darted down to the action, making me breathless. “I-I’m getting your protection in exchange for sex.”
“Incorrect,” he said softly, his thumb rubbing gentle circles on my skin as he continued to cradle my face. “You will belong to me. To Vincent. To Levin. You will do as we say, when we say it. You will question nothing. You’ll be loyal to us and only us. And in exchange, we’ll keep you alive until we deem you unworthy. Then you’re on your own.”
“Sounds like I’m getting the shitty end of the stick,” I said, staring up into his eyes.
A dark smile cut across his face as I continued, “Do I have to fuck Vincent and Levin too?” My stomach tensed as I waited for his answer.
“We’ll see.”
He didn’t elaborate beyond that, opting to simply continue staring at me.
“That’s it?” I asked.
“If you fuck me or my crew over, I’ll kill anyone you’ve ever loved while I make you watch, then I’ll kill you and fuck your corpse. Then I’ll send the video to David and his friends to jerk off to. Once you spread your legs for me, I will own every-fucking-thing about you, Bianca D’Angelou. I will make your decisions. You’ll do as the kings say. You will wear what we tell you to wear. You will speak when we tell you to speak. You will be by one of our sides always. Do you understand?”
I nodded, nausea rolling around in my guts. I had no choice. Hail had left me with no choice.
“When we return to classes tomorrow, you’ll come find us in the morning. Don’t make us look for you, or you’ll be sorry.”
“OK,” I mumbled.
His hand shifted on my face, and he gripped my cheeks tight, making it hurt. “Do not mumble when you speak to me.”
“OK.”
“It’s yes, Dominic. Try it.”
“Yes, Dominic,” I hissed through gritted teeth at him.
His green eyes glinted with a darkness the devil had put inside him. “We’ll work on your manners later.” He released me and moved to settle on the edge of my bed.
I stared at him, tugging my fluffy robe tighter around myself as he studied me. I had no idea what the hell I should be doing, so I placed the rose in a glass of water and set it on my nightstand. I caught him watching me, his eyes taking in every movement.
