Trek
I’m so ready for this. I’ve been ready for this, but things weren’t panning out the way they should have. We had to get the basement set up for the girls and get the doctor on standby. Now that’s all in place, and we’re ready. We’re ready to take on whoever the hell is in that house.
The guys are geared up and ready. I’m ready. I’ve been ready, and now’s the time. We’re ready to hit the house Heidi showed me.
“We go in, we take out whoever we need to, and we get the girls out. We are gonna have to move fast because they’re neighbors. In and out,” Demon orders as he looks around at us. We all nod and grunt our agreement.
“It doesn’t need to be said to be careful with those girls. Most are gonna be drugged,” Drake adds. “We don’t want any issue with them.” Again we all grunt our agreement.
“Any questions?” Demon asks, glancing between all of us. No one answers, and that’s a good thing. We all know what to do.
“Shoot to kill,” Demon declares. We all know what that means and who we’re shooting. If any of those assholes make it out of there alive, they’ll know it was us. Then we’re for sure to go to war with whoever they are.
“Let’s do this,” Drake says as we all nod and head for the door. Just as I’m about to step outside when a hand on my arm stops me. I look over to see Heidi with tears in her eyes.
“Be careful,” she whispers.
“I will. I’ll be fine.” I lean down and press a quick kiss to her lips before pulling away and following the guys out. I want the assholes who took her and forced her to do things. I want this Victor guy, whoever the fuck he is.
We all climb into the back of one of the vans as the prospects climb in the other.
“We’re gonna need to move quickly,” Demon reminds us.
“We got this,” I tell him. He nods his head as the van pulls off. The drive doesn’t take long, as we aren’t that far from the house. It makes my skin crawl knowing she was so close this whole time. Kept in that house for however long, and I was just right around the fucking corner.
Ignoring the urge to take out everyone I can, I take a deep breath and blow it out. Demon watches me but just nods his head, knowing what must be going through mine.
“You’re gonna do fine,” Drake says.
“I’m just on edge, brother. She was so close the whole time.”
“Heard that. That’s gotta be one head fuck, but we’re gonna make this shit right, brother. We’re gonna end those fuckers.” I nod my head. I know we will; it’ll just take some time. This isn’t all of them. Hell, we will never be rid of them, but we’ll take out as many as we can.
The vans pull to a stop, and the back doors fly open. We jump out and head for the door. It’s kicked open by Badger, and the rest of us file inside. We break off, some going one way, the rest the other. We’re quick and quiet until we come upon men. Then we shoot to kill. I raise my gun and pull the trigger as a man steps out of a room with a gun in hand. Thank fuck we’re using silencers. He falls to the ground as Griz and Cross make their way into the room.
Rage and I continue down the hall, taking out as many assholes as possible before stepping into the last room on the hall. There are two beds, a girl on each of them looking scared as hell. Their arms are tied above their heads, and nothing is covering their naked bodies. I move to untie the first one as they watch us intently.
“We’re here to help you,” I tell them as Rage unties the other girl. They both sit up quickly, covering themselves.
“Get somethin’ on,” I tell the two of them. The girls share a look before they move and pull clothes on. I hear Cross call out clear from his end of the house, and Rage steps out of the room, calling clear from our end. Now it’s time to move the girls and get them out of here.
“You gotta hurry. If there’s anything here you need or want, grab it now,” I tell them. They both move quickly, one grabbing a few shirts, the other not bothering to grab anything before she scurries out of the room with only the clothes she threw on. We usher them down the hall and out into the living room, where we find the rest of the girls. I count them and cringe.
Fifteen. Fifteen girls used and abused in this shit hole of a house.
“We’re gonna get you someplace safe, but we need to hurry. Is Victor here?” I ask, needing to know where that motherfucker is. If he’s already dead, I’ll shoot him again. He’s mine. He’s meant to be mine.
“He’s not here right now,” one of the girls answer. She can’t be more than seventeen at the most. My stomach drops at the thought. I nod my head, and then we’re moving them to the back of the van. Once they’re all loaded, I grab the matches as Rage grabs the gas can. He pours gas over everything inside, including the dead bodies, before I flick the match. The house ignites as we load up and haul ass out of here.
The ride back to the clubhouse is intense. The girls have to be going out of their minds right now. I can’t even imagine what they must be thinking at the moment. This is a lot for them, but they have to know they’re safe now. No one will hurt them now.
We arrive back at the clubhouse and park the vans before unloading everyone. Cheryl and Evie help lead the girls inside and down into the basement. It may seem odd to them at first, but it’s the best set up we could have right now.
“How many are there?” Heidi asks when she spots me.
“Fifteen.”
“That’s everyone. I was sixteen,” she says softly. I brush my fingers along her cheek before she closes her eyes. One of the girls calls her name, and Heidi pulls away from me to go to her. I watch her hug the girl and the tears that come after that.
“We did good tonight.”
“We didn’t get the man in charge,” I tell Demon.
“His time will come.”
“Will it?”
“Yeah, it will. This is what we do, brother. We’ll find the motherfucker, and then you can make him wish he was never born.”
“Oh, I plan on that,” I tell him.
“I bet you do. Now let’s get these girls settled in for the night,” he says. I nod my head and follow him down the basement stairs. He clears his throat when the girls are finally in the same room.
“This is gonna be your home for now. It isn’t much, but it’s better than where you were. There are bathrooms down the hall. Each of you will have a bed over there,” he points to the row of beds we set up. “Everything you need, you’ll have, and that includes a doctor. He’ll be in tomorrow to check everyone out. If there’s anything you need, come find one of the guys or girls here. We’re all here to help you.”
“Why are you doing this?” one of the girls asks.
“You didn’t ask to be there. You don’t deserve that shit. If you wanna return to your family, you can. We’ll help you do that.”
“You will?” Another asks as tears fall down her cheeks.
“Yeah, we will. We’ll arrange anything you need or want. We’re not the bad guys here. We’re the ones tryin’ to help you out now.”
“You’ll really help us get home?” Another asks.
“Yeah, we will. If that’s what you want, just let us know, but I’d like the doc to check you out before you go if that’s okay,” Drake tells them. They all nod their head glancing around at each other before they finally relax. Cheryl and Evie do their thing as we walk back out and head back upstairs. I take a deep breath and blow it out, knowing that they’re all safe for now.
