The few people in this car with us are oblivious to the fact that we’re standing when there are many available seats.

I was headed toward one when Calliope curved a finger to lure me closer to her.

“You’re making me want to take the subway to work tomorrow,” I whisper into the smooth skin of her neck.

Her gaze shoots up so she can lock eyes with me. “I’m game. You never knew it could be this much fun, did you?”

I shake my head. “But you did.”

“No.” Her voice comes out soft. “I’ve never done this with anyone else, Sean.”

That tightens my grip on her. I want to be her first in every way I can, even if it’s something like this with us both fully clothed in a subway car.

“We’ll be home soon,” she says with another circle of her hips. “I have a challenge for you when we get there.”

“Is it whether or not I can keep my mouth off of you in the elevator?” I press my lips to her neck.

A shiver runs through her. “No, but whoever does win the challenge gets to taste the other person first.”

I laugh. “There’s no way in hell I’m not winning that, Champ. I’ve wanted a taste of you for so long.”

She looks into my eyes again. “I feel the same way about you.”

I raise a hand to grab hold of her ponytail so I can tease her head back just a touch more. Then I press my lips to hers for a gentle kiss.

Something tells me after tonight, my life will never be the same again.

I unlockmy apartment door but step back to allow Calliope entry first.

Part of that stems from my desire to be a gentleman. A bigger part of it comes from the fact that I want another look at her ass in the tight jeans she’s wearing.

When she left her spot behind the bar earlier to help her co-worker tend to a few tables of patrons, I got my first look at her from head-to-toe.

Everyone else in Tin Anchor did too, and I saw heads turn. Both men and women stared when she walked around the bar in her low-heeled black boots with her ponytail bobbing in the air in an easy rhythm with her steps.

She’s effortlessly beautiful. Her body is sensual, even when covered in jeans and a T-shirt.

I wanted her from the first moment I saw her.

Now, I’m mere seconds away from taking her to bed.

Once she’s standing in the foyer of my apartment, she spins to face me. “Are you ready for the challenge, Saint?”

I lock the door before I nod. “Bring it on, Champ.”

She tugs her black cross-body bag over her shoulder to drop it on a chair in the foyer. “Whoever undresses first gets to taste the other person.”

My eyes widen. “If I get my clothes off first, I can eat you out?”

She nods.

“Right here and right now?” I ask for clarification.

Her hands drop to the waistband of her jeans. “When I say three, two, one, go, we do it.”

“Let’s skip all of that, and I’ll drop to my knees now.” I take a step closer to her. “You’re not going to deny me what I want most in the world, are you?”
