Gillian lives here now. I couldn’t handle even a night away from her and lucky for me she felt the same. She’s changed a few things around here, taking it from my home to ours. It’s a nice change.
It took me longer than I thought it would to completely heal from the beating I took. Gillian was the best nurse I could’ve asked for. She even dressed like a sexy nurse every once and a while to take care of me in more ways than one.
She sighs in her sleep and I lean over to kiss her head. I’ve never been so happy and fulfilled in my life. Gillian was the missing part of me I didn’t know I was looking for. She makes me want to get up every day, just to be with her.
She’s become incredibly close to everyone in the club and it makes things that much better. When I was locked up she held her own, even though I know how difficult that was, but she did it. She let the club help, Finn especially. I appreciate them all so much more for it.
“You’re awake?” she asks, rolling over to look at me.
I press my lips to hers and run my fingers through her hair. “Just thinking about how fucking lucky I am.”
She smiles, her sleepy eyes searching mine. “Because I let you tie me up and blindfold me?”
I laugh, placing my hand on her cheek. “Well yeah for
that too, but I was thinking about how lucky I am that you’re my fiancée.”
She looks down at her diamond ring and smiles. “We’re both lucky,” she whispers.
Her eyes lift up to mine and I grin. “I love you, baby girl.”
“I love you too.”
I pull her against me and she rests her head on my chest. There was a point through all this shit we endured that I thought it was all going to end. I saw no way out and that was by far the darkest moment of my life.
Now I realize we had to live through all of that to appreciate what is really important. Gillian being safe, happy, and by my side is all that matters.
I never would’ve imagined that night so long ago when I watched a sexy hellcat getting drunk and flirting, that I’d fall in love. Yet, here I am completely and totally in love with that woman. And when she tosses her head back and laughs, my heart still swells.
She changed me without even trying and I will spend the rest of my life thanking her for that.
I kiss her head, wrapping my arms around her. “Wanna do some ass play?” I whisper.
She laughs and smacks my arm. “Go to sleep.”
I chuckle, rubbing her back. “Night, baby girl. I love you.”
“Night, I love you too.”
I love you more.
