“Please, Dwen, let’s go.”
The twins all but dragged her out of the house, before both turning to face her.
“We’re sorry,” Cyprus said. “I didn’t think they’d be quite that bad.”
“Me neither,” Brandon added. “Please don’t think we’re like that.” Their eyes both pleaded with her to understand, and her heart went out to them. How could she not understand. She felt the truth of their words as much as she heard them.
“I know. So long as we have each other, it’ll all be fine.”
“Very much so,” Cyprus said, leaning forward and kissing her chastely, before pulling back so Brandon could do the same.
“It’ll all work out in the end,” Brandon added once he’d pulled away.
Yes. It would. Even with all the challenges ahead of them, Aledwen knew it would all work out. She had her men by her side after all.
