Trey

Two weeks.

Two goddamn weeks of looking—and not touching.

Two goddamn weeks of reading every night with her on the couch.

Holding her.

Laughing with her.

Smelling her delicious coconut scent.

Two goddamn weeks of wanting her so much I could barely see straight.

Every minute I spent with Lexi Hunter or near Lexi Hunter, I was in grave danger of throwing her over my shoulder, carrying her to my bed, and doing unspeakable things to her for the foreseeable future.

We’d been snapping at each other the last few days.

But, at night time, she still came to me on the couch. She’d sit down right beside me.

And open a book.

Then, we’d read.

It was by far the best part of my day.

Especially since my coach still hadn’t put me in an actual game yet.

Even during practice he still took it easy with me.

And it was driving me insane.

I knew I could do it.

I knew I could play.

Beau vouched for me.

So did the other guys on the team.

But, my coach?

Nope.

I wasn’t allowed to travel with them, yet, either.

All of that combined with the fact that Lexi Hunter was a walking temptation for me every second of the day—made me one grouchy asshole.

Jillian just taught an outdoor yoga class. She normally only did them in the mornings a few times a week. And I went to every one of them when I was in the city.

Tonight though, I wanted the hour of distance from Lexi.

Which was really damn odd—because the women’s team was traveling tomorrow.

And thinking about Lexi being gone for four straight days—well, it pissed me off.
