She set her index finger on my lips. “I love you, too.”

“You do?”

She nodded and gave me the most beautiful smile I’d ever seen. “So much.”

She pulled my shoulders down until my lips touched hers. “I’m done with questions. Kiss me, Trey.”

God, her lips and that tongue piercing were going to be the death of me.

This time, I kissed her deeply, feeling a need I’d never felt before.

I’d fucked Lexi many times—but this time was different.

This time—we loved each other.

“I love you,” I said right before I thrust my hips forward.

She let out a gasp as I pushed my way in. “I love you, too.”

She’d said it twice now.

And both times I’d felt her words deep in my soul.

I slid my hand behind her head and held her to me. I caged in her body as I rocked in and out of her sweetness.

Her hips moved with mine—so gently.

So perfectly.

Not rushed.

Not hurried.

Just—us.

It was then I realized we weren’t fucking—we were making love.

And Christ, if it didn’t feel like the best goddamn thing ever.

I grinned down at her. “It’s never been like this for me.”

Lexi smiled, and she gazed up at me with the most loving eyes I’d seen in my life. “I know, honey. I feel it, too.”

Her fingers ran up my arms, and over my shoulders—ending behind my neck.

She played with my hair there, and it felt phenomenal.

Like we had this new connection with each other that had never before existed outside of this bed.

It couldn’t have.

If more people in the world felt this way—they’d never be apart from their spouses.

Our bodies not only moved in tandem—but so did our minds.

And our hearts.

The smooth sliding and pulling motion created an overwhelming, intoxicating—smoldering heat.
