Minimum five game suspension.

Possible complete expulsion.

Those phrases kept floating around in my mind the entire time I was packing.

No matter how many times I’d said it—this really wasn’t fair.

All of this was because of Rozovsky.

But the stupid committee still needed more time to go over the facts.

Well, the facts were—that Rozovsky was a douchecanoe of gigantic proportions.

Done.

That was all they needed to know.

Instead, Beau’s actions were now ‘under review’ and all we could do was wait.

The guys scraped by with a victory on game three, but then continued to lose every game after that. They just couldn’t do it without Beau and Trey.

Which sucked majorly.

The only thing that didn’t suck was the fact that Sienna more than gratefully agreed to let Beau have the boys for a couple of weeks over the holidays.

I’d wondered if it was because she felt guilty for them never having a Christmas with their father.

But Beau said she had a new, rich man in her life who enjoyed hot, beach vacations. Thanks to the reality show, Sienna had gotten her fifteen minutes of fame. And a new guy to boot.

This might have been the only time I’d ever been really thankful for the show’s existence.

At any rate, we were currently packing to go back home for the holidays.

My home.

I argued with Beau until I was blue in the face. I told him it was more than understandable he’d want to spend his first Christmas with the boys with his family.

He’d said, “That’s exactly what I’m doing.”

Sometimes the things he said made me melt into a pile of goo.

Trey had been released from the hospital a couple of days ago.

Correction, he’d released himself from the hospital a couple of days ago. Against medical advice. I’d had a conniption fit. Then his mom had a conniption fit. Then Beau helped him get into a wheelchair and all four of us headed back to the apartments.

FYI, Trey’s mom was hot.

Like ‘super model who’s now a mom and a grandmother but still looks like she’s twenty-five’ brand of hot. But she was also a great mother and somehow kept Trey in line—other than losing the hospital battle.

We’d initially decided to take the puppies with us, but Trey practically begged to keep them. His mom pulled me aside and asked if we could please do this one thing for him. She said it would give him an incentive to get up and get moving if he had something to take his mind off his condition.

Let’s just say she twisted my rubber arm, because the thought of carting twin boys and two puppies on a plane did not excite me one bit.

And if the puppies helped their uncle to heal quicker, then so be it.
