“Oh, God, yes, yes, and probably.” She hid her face in his neck.

“I’d never do anything you didn’t want, Charlotte.”

“I know that.”

“You’re precious to me,” he said.

She took his face in her hands. “I know that too.”

Finn growled and flipped her on her back. “One thing at a time. For now, I just want to be with you. Be inside you.”

“I want that too,” she said.

“And just to be safe, I want you on top.”

Charlotte’s eyes lit. “All right.” She came up on her elbows, and Finn pushed her back down. “But not yet.” He kissed his way down her body. “I’m starving for you, Charlotte.”

Twitch watched as Finn parted her legs. The rush of anticipation in her body felt like the ocean retreating before a tsunami. When he put his mouth to the apex of her thighs, the tidal wave hit. She was awash in pleasure, drowning in it, Finn’s groan of satisfaction and murmured words only deepening the pool of lust. Then without removing his lips and tongue from her body, he reached up and placed a big hand across her belly. Her response was instantaneous; she shattered.

Finn couldn’t seem to pull himself from between her legs. He continued the onslaught with renewed vigor, sending Twitch over the edge again. He fell onto his back and lifted her astride his narrow hips.

“Now, Charlotte.”

She hadn’t needed the order, but it fueled her passion nonetheless. She sank down on his thick erection, and they both groaned. Finn held her hips and guided her body until he was fully seated inside her. Discomfort faded to pleasure as her body stretched to accommodate him. Twitch reached forward and grabbed the top of the headboard; Finn clutched it from below. She moved on his body, and his hips came up to meet hers as if unwilling to let her go.

A force swirled around them as their bodies collided. The headboard banged against the wall in a primal drum beat, and the carved creatures came to life in the shifting light, chanting and stomping a tribal dance. Flares shot off in her brain, their bodies conduits for euphoria. Light, sparks, colors, Twitch was lost in the melding. The primitive drumbeat grew louder, the chanting more urgent. Finn shot up, grabbed her hips, kissed Twitch’s face, her neck. She wrapped her arms and legs around his body as they burst into flame.

Finn fell backward, bringing Twitch with him. He was still inside her as they lay speechless, motionless.

After long minutes, Finn looked down at her with so much love in his eyes her heart nearly stopped.

“Was that…? Did that? Did you feel what I just felt?” he asked.

“Yes,” Twitch replied.

A pounding on the door had Finn covering her with the sheet.

“Finn? Are you okay?” Auggie asked from the hall.

“Yeah, buddy. Go back to sleep,” Finn answered.

“I would if you two would quit fighting. I’d like to get ten minutes of god damned shut-eye.”

Auggie stomped off down the hall, and Twitch bit her lip to keep from laughing. “How many times do you think his grandfather has said those exact words to him?”

She felt Finn’s chest rumble. “Too many to count.” Finn wrapped both arms around her and kissed her softly. “A little preview for what life with kids is like. You ready?”

“You know? I think I am.” Twitch placed a smiling kiss above his heart and fell asleep.
