“Kellan, it’s too dressy for tonight.”

“No, it’s not. Even if it is, I want to see you in it.” I gave her my own heated look. She looked at me for several moments then nodded.

“Fine, but I need to shower after being at the bakery then shopping. Give me a half hour. Why don’t you go out and talk to your brothers? I’ll be out when I get done.”

“Okay, but only because if I stay, I won’t be able to keep my hands off you. Hurry, babe.” I gave her a teasing kiss then left. I wasn’t lying. She was too tempting by far.

Out in the common room, most of the guys had assembled after their workday. Some already had a beer. I went to the bar and asked Alex to get me one. As I took that first cold swallow, Joker came up to me and nudged my arm.

“Where’s that sexy-ass woman of yours?”

“She’s getting changed. Joker, if you don’t stop talking about how sexy she is…” I let the threat hang there. The bastard just laughed.

“I can’t help it. My brothers are turning out like the guys in Dublin Falls. Finding beautiful women who are perfect for them. I’m jealous.”

“The right one for you will come along when you least expect it. Look at me. I had no idea when I went to guard the bakery, I’d find Jessica. She knocked me for a loop the moment I saw her.”

“I know. I was there. I saw your face. Took her long enough to realize it though.”

I grunted. “With the family she had, it’s a wonder she did at all.” He frowned.

“What do you mean?” I hadn’t told any of them what she’d shared about her family. I hoped she wouldn’t be upset.

“Her stepmom and stepsister were bitches. They told her growing up she was ugly and that no one would want her. There were other people who she said proved it, though she wouldn’t tell me who. She has a hard time believing she’s beautiful and sexy, or why would I want to be with her.”

“Bullshit! You’re kidding me?” I shook my head no. “That’s fucked up, man. That woman is a doll. You’re lucky as hell.”

“I know I am. That’s why I want to marry her as soon as possible. I want to show her in every way possible what she means to me.”

He was about to respond when the front door to the clubhouse opened and in walked a woman. A woman that made the room go quiet. She was stunning. Like someone you’d see in a magazine. Like she couldn’t be real. She was tall, maybe five feet eight. Her figure was curvy and killer. I admit I was stunned and looked at her with an open mouth like everyone else. My brothers without a woman were practically drooling. Slash and Maverick raced over to her.

I didn’t hear what they said, but she gave them a killer smile. Then she looked around and said loudly, “I’m looking for my sister. I was told she would be here.”

“Who’s your sister, beautiful?” Slash asked her. I took a step toward her. Something inside of me told me I knew the answer.

“Jessica, Jessica Abrams. I’m her sister, Melody.” She fluttered her eyelashes at him and gave him a coy smile. I stepped closer to her.

“I’m Ajax. Your sister is my old lady. What can I do for you?” I asked her. She looked me up and down. I swear I felt like I needed to take a shower after she did. She literally eye fucked me right there. I could see the calculation in her eyes. Her beauty started to fade as I saw the real bitch underneath. She sashayed over to me and laid her hand on my arm, pressing her chest into it. It was all I could do not to shudder and shake her off. However, I stood still, wanting to see what else she’d do. I planned to put this bitch in her place and tell her to never come around Jessica again. If I was lucky, I’d do it and get rid of her before Jessica ever saw her.

“Wow, my sister got a man like you? How did that happen? I hope we become really good friends, Ajax. Do you know where Jess is? I’d love to see her, then maybe we can get better acquainted,” she purred.

“Sure. We can do that. I’d love to get to know you much better too. Why don’t we go somewhere quieter and get started on that? I’ll take you to see Jessica later,” I said with a smirk. I wanted her to think I was falling for her shit, then I was going to hit her with the truth and send her ass packing. No way she was going to ever hurt my woman again. I led her past Bull.

He was frowning at me. I winked. “Hey, Pres, can I use your office?” He slowly nodded. I led her to it. Time to take out the trash, after I found out why she treated Jessica so badly all these years. There had to be a reason.
