At the same time, Rux opened his mouth and bit into her neck. It wasn’t hard, nor was it the first time he had done it. It made her feel animalistic, trying to take a peek into his world.
Dana moaned as her second orgasm of the night rose inside of her and shot through her bones like silk. Rux came quickly after, his body shaking and seizing. “Dana, Dana, Dana,” he said, grunting.
Dana held his head into her chest as he moved inside her, savoring every flavor her body had to offer. Eventually, he stepped back, looking dizzy and exhausted, then fell back to his knees.
“Rux!” Dana said, holding in a laugh.
He tumbled onto his butt and then leaned up against the wall opposite the counter. He was panting heavily and smiling with his eyes closed.
“Mother of God, Dana,” he said with a slight wheeze. “You drive me crazy.”
Dana was feeling just as dizzy as she slid to the floor, still adorning her entire dress without any underwear. The sensation of the linoleum was cool on her bum, sending a shockwave through her already high-strung system.
She leaned against the cabinets, closing her eyes, too, smiling as if she would never be sad again.
“Look who’s talking,” Dana replied.
After getting her bearings, Dana shot her eyes open and looked at the man across from her. His pants were around his ankles still, and despite how amusing he looked, Dana was madly in love with him.
“Rux,” she said softly.
She was amazed that he had heard her, and his own eyes shot open. Their green shade swam in the dark, calling to her.
“Yes, my darling?” he replied.
“Do you remember when I asked you to wait for me? To wait for me to be certain?”
He nodded, his eyebrows furrowing with concern. Dana went onto all fours and crawled toward him, realizing that she was probably a sight to see in that position.
She said, “I wanted to tell you something, something that I think I’ve been waiting to tell you for a long time.”
Rux’s look of fear melted away as she straddled him, and he brought his hands to her waist. He was looking up at her with big, curious eyes.
“I am certain now,” she said, fighting tears. “I am certain that I am in love with you. I know, for sure, I want to see your gorgeous face applauding for me every single night for the rest of my life. I love you, Rux.”
Rux brought his hands to Dana’s face, searching it for any anxiety, for any doubt. She crinkled her expression, letting the tears of joy fall onto her cheeks.
“You love me?” he whispered.
Dana nodded and began kissing his hands.
“Dana,” he said, his voice scratchy, “you have no idea what you mean to me. I am mad for you. You make me feel things I have never felt before. Things I never thought I would or could ever feel after my dad …”
Rux’s face crumbled, and Dana brought her hands to his face, holding him there. She would hold him together forever if he needed her to.
“After losing my dad, I didn’t think I’d ever feel anything remotely close to this feeling. There aren’t enough words to describe it. All I know is that you are magic, and I have been blessed to bathe in your light.”
Dana smiled, unable to contain her laughter anymore. Rux began laughing with her as they kissed sloppily, making out on the cool floor of her apartment.
“You’re such a romantic,” Dana whispered between their kisses. “I know I’m in love with a poem.”
Rux let out a rollicking laugh as he pulled her in for another deep kiss, his passion breaking the dam of any hesitation he had previously applied to keep her at a distance. She felt unleashed, invigorated, euphoric.
Rux stood in a single leap, still holding Dana in his arms. The jolt made Dana yelp, which sent them both into another barrel of uncontrollable laughter.
“I guess I’ll have to get used to that!” Dana bellowed with tears of happiness.
Rux carried her to the bedroom, laid her on her stomach, and then unzipped her dress. He kissed her in every spot she wanted, making sure she was utterly satiated, at least, for the night.
