We kill, we defend, and then we love.

And I feel every ounce of his love as he fills me, his head already wet with pre-cum. That mixed with my own slick is more moisture than I need. His pump is wet, manic, and lust-ridden. His fingers near the bruising point as he grabs my thighs and glues us together, him planted in as deep as he can go.

He only pauses long enough to capture my attention. “Look at me, my love. This won’t last long.”

My eyes open at the request, and when I meet his gaze, I don’t see Seattle’s biggest name. I don’t see a business mogul. I see the missing parts of my soul. I see heaven, and then I see my wings finally break from the cage.

My body is pinned firmly to the bed as Grant takes what he needs tonight, while giving me everything.

The ceiling I thought of months ago is gone. Tonight, while echoing each other’s names and clinging to each other’s bodies, we blast through the glass encasement together—and my bond to this man runs thicker than blood, death, or love ever could. We are so much more than that.

There’s no start or end to Grant and I.

We simply are, and as we touch what feels like the sky while entwined, I know that our midnight souls were made to soar and be in alignment forever.

What a shame that most people will never grasp how beautiful the dark can be.
