Bits of green flickered in Nox’s eyes, and his upper lip twitched.

“That’s better.”

Nox snaked his hands over Luca’s hips.

“No.” Luca sat up, and Nox tried to pull him back. “I said no.”

Nox bared his teeth. Blood outlined his sharpening canines.

“I’m not scared of you. I’m not intimidated. And you want to know why?”

A vee formed between Nox’s eyebrows.

“Because you’re my wolf. My Anubis. I own you.”

In a surge of strength, Nox flipped Luca onto his back and rocked against him. Luca put his hand on Nox’s throat.

“I said no.”

Nox fell still.

“Move.” Energy crackled across Luca’s skin, and the air gained weight, making it difficult to breathe. “I said, move.”

Nox tilted his head, but the movement was too smooth to be anything but the Anubis.

Luca tightened his grip. “Now.”

Nox made enough room for Luca to slide out from under him.

“On your back.”

He obeyed and Luca straddled his hips.

“Are you going to listen now?”

Nox ran his hands up Luca’s thighs, but the touch conveyed the creature's possession, not adoration from the man.

“I want you to let Nox have control.”

The grey in Nox’s eyes bled to green.

“Not every time. But when I ask you and he wants to.”

Nox wrinkled his nose.

“I’m not kidding. You need to share.”

Nox grinned.

Luca twisted Nox’s nipple again. He glanced down at the angry bud, then back at Luca. Clearly not impressed.

“Did you like what we did yesterday?”

Nox’s gaze darkened.

“Because I did.” Luca put them chest to chest again. “I want to do it again.” He flicked his tongue over Nox’s chin.

A purr kicked up in his chest.
