“Yes.” I snarl. “We are. We wouldn’t have sentherthere if it wasn’t.”

He stares at me, silently. I can sense that he wants to say more, but he stops. “Right.”

“Right.” I echo. Memories from weeks before threaten to flood my mind, but I tamper them down before I spiral.

“Regardless, you’re outnumbered. She needs to stay here. I don’t want Killian running off with her into the night like a psychopath.”

“He’s your best friend. Talk to him about it, not me.” I snap, even as the image of her with Killian does something unsettling to my chest.

“Brock. Please,” Dylan sighs, combing a hand through his messy blonde hair. “Have a heart, for one minute. Olive is terrified out of her mind, exhausted, and starving. Just let her fuckingresthere. At least until she’s healed.”

Olive.

A small part of me whispers Dylan is right. The fear was clear on her face, and the way she pleaded her case to me made my chest clench.

Fuck.

“And what happens if she goes into Heat? Does she have suppressants?”

If she does, it would add another crime to the long list of ones we’re committing.

“Killian brought her bag in. Yeah, she does. And if she goes into Heat…” He clears his throat and drums his fingers on my mahogany desk. “If that happens, we will just up our dose.”

He says it like it’s the most obvious answer in the world. As if an Omega in a violent Heat under the same roof as all of us wouldn’t be utter chaos. Even with top-tier suppressants, Ruts are uncomfortable at best, and miserable at worst.

I groan. “This is insane.”

Dylan nods, a smile forming on his face as he realizes I’m giving in. “Yeah. Probably the most insane thing we’ve done.”

I shake my head.

This is fucking madness.

“I’ll order air purifiers,” I concede. “And she can have the furnished guest room on the third floor.”

My brother grins, and I want to roll my eyes. “I’ll take care of it all.”

“Sure. Now, leave before I change my mind.”

He shuts the door behind him, and I rub my forehead, feeling a migraine starting.

What the hell did I just agree to?

She shouldn’t be here.

This is a bad fucking idea, and I just gave the green light for it.
