CHAPTER 47
OLIVE
My head hurts.
My skin burns.
AndEdenis crumbling while we drive through side streets, avoiding the freeway as Killian listens to the police scanner, his hand reaching from the backseat to comb through my tangled hair.
My Alphas rescued me.
They rescued Hannah, too, who clears her throat awkwardly.
“So,” she says slowly, her voice low. “Do you want to tell meexactlywhat’s going on here?”
“We’re getting you out of here, kiddo,” Killian confirms, and a stab of irrational jealousy flares through me.
Killian’s not related to her, and she’s an Omega.
Get away from my Alpha!
“Where are we going? The cops will be after us in a second,” she says. “The only place we can be safe is…”
“Ah. You forgot about my cabin,” Brock says.
“Oh, my God,” she breathes. “Toronto? You really still have that place?”
This conversation is beyond me, and I try to put the pieces together while fighting fatigue. “Canada?” I ask, confused.
Is that what he meant by saying a plane is waiting?
“Yup,” Dylan confirms. “Just have to get to the airfield.”
My head spins.
“You have aplane?” I ask Brock, and his face flushes.
“Er…yes?” He says awkwardly. “I mean, I don’t really use it.”
“Oh God, we get it. You’re rich,” Hannah mutters. “Don’t be so bashful, Brocky.”
He only flushes deeper, and it brings a smile to my face.
The adrenaline wears off as we drive, and I realize I’m a mess of fluid, dust, and dirt.
I’m still trying to process what happened.
They rescued us, and we’re on our way to Canada.
Brock and Dylan mated me.
Now, I’m just waiting for Killian.
And I plan to claim him the moment I get him alone.
