CHAPTER 45
OLIVE
Dylan’s here.
Dylan’s here, and he smells so fucking good that I can’t take it any longer.
I missed him.
I missed his smile, his kindness, the way he looks at me while I’m…
Slick drips down my dress, soaking through my panties, and he groans.
“Fuck, Olive,” he murmurs. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart, I’m so sorry—”
But I don’t want to hear it.
There’s a need inside me, burning so deeply I might die.
And if I think about what he’s done, and let my head get in the way of what my inner Omega wants, I’ll explode.
I waited too long—and if Dylan didn’t show up today, I would let every Alpha in that room knot me.
It would have been awful. I wouldn’t be provided with my proper nest, or any of the care I need.
They would use me and be done.
The elevator takes us to the eighth floor, and he carries me down the hallway, all the way to the door of my penthouse. He opens the door, and another familiar whiff assaults my senses.
“Bedroom,” I pant, desperate. “Please, please, Dylan—”
And sitting on my bed in a black suit is Brock, wearing a ravenous expression.
“Fuck, thank God,” he groans, as he pulls me away from Dylan and into his arms, hugging me.
But I don’t want hishug.
I don’t want his kindness.
I just need the ache to go away.
A whimper escapes me, tears of frustration filling my eyes. His scent envelops me, mixing with Dylan’s, and I feel safe for the first time in a week.
“She’s in Heat,” Dylan murmurs behind me.
He nods. “Yeah. I can smell it,” he says in a strained voice.
It’s fucking sexy and does nothing to help my growing arousal and desperation.
“How are you here?” I breathe, desperate to see more of Brock. I tug at his suit jacket, and he helps me throw it to the floor.
“Sold the app,” he breathes, his hand reaching out to caress my face.
I freeze, even though arousal threatens to consume me. I pull away from him, confused. “What you told me about when we first met?”
“Yeah,” Dylan adds, and I turn to face him, panting. “He sold it toEden. And pulled a few strings, and got me in here, too.”
“And…Killian?”
