Darian sighed and walked over.
“Do you want to tell me what happened last night?” Gage asked.
Darian went over it, and it seemed to sound worse describing the fiasco.
Gage cursed. “Damn, I didn’t see the bitch.”
“You’re lucky.”
The hours slipped by, and each minute away from Larkin was driving him more and more insane. He stood suddenly when Brylee burst through the doors and ran to Gage, sobbing.
“Oh, God.” Darian started praying that he hadn’t lost the best thing in his life.
“How is she?” Darian asked.
The look on Brylee’s face told him that Larkin was awake.
Then she said two words that destroyed his world—suicide watch.
