The men laughed.
Warrick held her while the other two packed up her things. “Let’s grab her bedding so she’ll have something to lie on in the back seat,” he said and stood.
“You know I can stand on my own.”
“You’re fine where you are.”
“Aren’t I getting heavy?”
Warrick chuckled. “No, not even close.”
“But I weigh over a hundred pounds.”
She grinned when he rolled his eyes. She could stare at his beautiful green eyes for a long time.
“Relax for me.”
After he got them situated in the back of their vehicle, she closed her eyes. She hadn’t realized she’d fallen asleep until Warrick was caressing her cheek and calling her name.
“I’m sorry.” She tried to sit up.
“There’s nothing to be sorry for, baby. I want you to sleep as much as possible. Let’s get this done so we can go home. We weren’t planning on going home until tomorrow because we thought it would take longer to pack you up. Now, we can just head home.”
