“Yes, honey, I invited him to stay because I knew you wouldn’t mind.”
The small woman smiled. “No, I don’t.”
Both men looked up the stairs when they heard something.
“Oh, I’m glad they’re still here,” Travis said.
Trey looked at the three women who stood and stared down at them. They were all pretty and had a look of innocence Trey couldn’t ever remember seeing in the US and the modern world.
“Girls, come down and meet a friend of mine.” Travis turned to him. “These are a few of Nia’s friends. Riley, Noah’s girl, and in front are Jenna and Kyla.”
The girls came to stand in front of them, but he could tell Jenna was afraid of him because she stood behind the others and wouldn’t look either man in the eyes.
“Girls, this is Trey. He and I went to high school together.”
“Wow, that long ago,” Nia said, trying to hold back a giggle, making Trey smile.
Travis’s hand came down on her ass. “Not nice, little one. You’ll pay for that later.”
“Okay,” she said in an excited tone, making Travis snort.
Instead of anxiety in her eyes because of the punishment, Trey saw anticipation.
Travis turned to Lawrence. “I’m going to put him in the far room across from the playroom.”
“Absolutely, sir. I’ll have it ready.” The butler turned to him. “May I take a bag upstairs for you?”
“No, Lawrence, I’ve got them. Thank you, though.”
The butler bowed, turned, and walked down a hallway and out of sight.
“Do you girls want to have dinner with us later?”
Two of the girls shook their heads.
“Daddy’s coming to get me soon,” Riley said.
Kyla shook her head. “No, sir, we have to work. In fact, we’ve got an Uber coming in about ten minutes.”
“I wish you would have told me first. I’d rather have Stan drive you home.”
“I’m sorry,” Kyla said.
Trey was surprised when the girl apologized. They really were different from the women he’d known in the last several years, and he was starting to see the appeal.
Too bad his gaze kept going to Jenna, the one who seemed terrified of him. She was a bit taller than the other two and had beautiful dark-blonde hair and bright blue eyes.
“I want to meet the driver,” Travis said, and both girls nodded. “I’m going to show Trey his room, and then I’ll be right back.”
All four girls nodded and then glanced at each other with a secretive look on their faces.
They were acting strangely and cagey for some reason, and Trey couldn’t comprehend what was happening, but he understood why they were driving the guys crazy.
Travis grabbed one of his bags and started up the stairs.
Trey looked back down halfway up the stairs to see them huddled together. He waited until they got out of sight of them before he asked, “What’s going on with them?”
Travis sighed. “That’s what Caleb was talking about earlier. This group of girls has a secret, and nothing the daddies have done so far has gotten the information out of them.”
