It’s almost midnight, and my feet are sore from dancing. My stomach hurts from laughing, and my head is light from the endless glasses of homemade strawberry wine that my husband has supplied.

My husband.

The words feel surreal to say, even to just myself. I’m an Adams now, and nothing has ever felt more right. My girls and I share Graham’s last name.

Right now, he’s currently sitting next to me, his thumb running gentle circles on the back of my hand. Over and over as he listens to Hudson’s story. We’re surrounded by our friends and have spent the night laughing, and dancing, and sharing stories.

The girls went to bed with our mothers hours ago, leaving us in the barn to celebrate. I’m so thankful for Allie. She spent the last three days making this day everything I could’ve imagined and more. The barn is decorated with hundreds of twinkling white lights, casting a warm glow on the tables set up. The centerpieces are filled with fresh flowers, and crisp white linens beneath them. It’s simple and elegant. It’s beautiful.

My eyes fill with tears when I think about the fact that not only do I get Graham, but I get his incredible family too. My new sister-in-law is everything I could’ve hoped for, and his mom… the love I have for her already is more than I could’ve imagined. I love her like I do my own mama. She raised the best man in the world.

“What are you thinking about,Mrs. Adams,” Graham whispers against my ear, causing gooseflesh to sprout on my arms.

“Nothinghusband, just how happy I am.”

He smiles, the corners of his mouth tugging up in a handsome grin. He’s so handsome, but when he smiles… he’s breathtaking.

“Do you know how much I love hearing that? Husband. How about we head to bed so I can spend the rest of the night showing you just how much I fucking love it.”

His words are raspy, full of need, and I clench my thighs together. All night he’s been driving me crazy with want. A light touch against the small of my back, the dip of his head to the sensitive expanse of my neck when no one was looking. Foreplay that has spanned the entire night and has me completely on edge.

“Graham…” I say breathlessly, feeling the heat in my cheeks at his promises. “Our friends…”

“Know exactly what is going to happen on our wedding night, Em. I’m fucking dying, I can’t wait to take that dress off of you.”

The honey-soaked irises of his eyes hold mine, seemingly ready to devour me with each second that passes.

“You two quit eye-fucking each other,” Asher says with a deep laugh, breaking the intense moment between us. Although he’s stolen our attention, I still feel the pit of my stomach dancing with anticipation, waiting for the moment that I can be alone with Graham.

“Shut up, goalie. I’ll eye-fuck mywifefor as long as I want to,” Graham responds, running his hand down my arm as he tugs me from my chair into his lap with ease.

I can feel his hardness pressed against me, and I know that those words have just as much effect on him as they do me.

“I can’t believe the two of you are married. Hudson owes me a thousand bucks.” Asher looks at Hudson and puts his tattooed hand out, palm up.

What in the world…

Hudson groans, deep and loud. “Fuck you, dude. How the fuck was I supposed to know they would actually get married? My money was on that shit going up in flames. Sorry guys.”

He looks a little sorry, but it’s probably more so because he just lost a thousand bucks. Hudson, I could expect this from, but Asher?

Never.

Out of all the guys, he’s the quiet one. The one who doesn’t have much to say. He’s always reading a worn book with a cracked spine when he’s not on the ice. Despite the fact that he’s covered in tattoos and looks more than a little intimidating, he’s the one I don’t know much about besides his quiet, stoic nature.

“Both of you are assholes. How about you take that thousand bucks and find a new apartment, since you’re having so much trouble with your new neighbor.” Graham smirks, taking a jab at Asher, who scowls and tosses up his middle finger. “ Which I fully intend to get the details on later. But, really…thank you guys for being here.”

Graham stands and bends down, sliding his hands under me, lifting me effortlessly off the chair.

“But it’s time to get my wife to bed. I’m sure she’s exhausted from tonight’s festivities. We’ll see you tomorrow.”

His smile, sly and lascivious is contagious, and I can’t help but toss my head back and laugh when he wiggles his eyebrows suggestively.

I’m completely out of my mind in love with this crazy man of mine.

I say goodbye to everyone quickly, since Graham is carrying me in true bride fashion to the truck outside. For our wedding night, he got a cabin a few miles outside of town, so we could have privacy.
