Allie squeals. “I hope it’s girls.”
“Me too,” Emery says, smiling, “but your brother wants boys. Go figure.”
“Hey, gotta have someone to carry on the Adams’ name.”
“Oh, Emery, speaking of babies, I’ll have to show you all of Graham’s baby books while you are here and give you two a few pictures to take home. I wonder who the babies will favor more. Oh, I’m just so happy. Getting married and becoming a family. I’m so proud of you, Graham,” Ma says, happiness shining in her eyes.
Sitting here surrounded by my family and Em, I feel happier than I have in months.
It feels like, for the first time, everything has fallen in place, except one missing piece.
