My eyes follow the lines of his body, only to find that the way he’s standing has allowed his silk pants to drop a little lower, revealing a deep V in his hips. My gaze slips lower without meaning to, and I realize now that he’s so brilliantly backlit and no longer has the added layer of silk from his robe, his pants have become fairly transparent.

My eyes widen as he shifts slightly and I catch a glimpse of what’s actually keeping his pants from falling down. I quickly pull my eyes away to stare up at the ceiling, even as I feel my body flush hot.

I shouldnothave looked. I’ve gone from seeing exactly zero penises in real life to far too many in the span of … what? A week?

And from what I’ve just glimpsed, his is the most terrifying one I’ve ever seen. Even taking Seven’s modified body into account.

I don’t know how a woman’s body is supposed to accommodate any of them. It just seems like it would be more pain than pleasure.

I try to shake these thoughts from my head. Now is not the time to be thinking about what sex feels like. I’m supposed to be doing the exact opposite.

Valentine doesn’t seem to notice the effect he’s had on me as he finishes tying up his hair and leans over me once again.

I looking down to watch what he’s about to do to fix me.

Oh my god, it’s so much worse from his angle. I can practically see everything. He’s huge and … he’s not even excited yet.

It’s almost impossiblenotto look, but I manage to tear my eyes away as I force them to look straight up at the ceiling.

Valentine pulls me closer to the edge of the bed before turning me over onto my stomach. He adjusts my neck in such a way that I can still breathe, before I feel him position himself over my back.

“Take a deep breath in,” he orders. I do, and then he shifts his weight against. My entire back seems to crack as it shifts back into place.

Valentine releases me and I suddenly feel my fingers and toes wiggle.

“I can move,” I gasp.

“Not quite,” Valentine says, rolling me over. “Your motor nerves and brain aren’t sending proper signals back and forth yet.”

“Oh,” I nearly sob in dismay, as Valentine pulls me up to the top of the bed and props me up with several pillows.

“I’ve only just started fixing you.”

I watch in stunned horror as Valentine lifts his wrist to his mouth and bites down on it.

Hard.

A strange mixture of silvery blood oozes out of the bite mark he’s just made and he holds out to me.

“Drink.”

“What? No!”

“If you don’t drink it, I’ll have to fix you another way.”

“I’m not going to drink your blood.”

Valentine cocks his head, his expression immediately making me second guess myself.

“Fine, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

He lifts his wrist back to his mouth, licking the trail of blood from his arm as he grabs me and pulls my hips to the edge of the bed.

“Wait, what’s the other way?” I ask.

He doesn’t answer, and I realize he hasn’t swallowed the blood as he bares his teeth to reveal some of the silver liquid within. It’s impossiblenotto see where this is going as he pulls off my shorts and underwear and repositions my legs.

I should have drunk the blood like he told me to. Dante tried to warn me that disobedience would be used against me.
