“I… um… Oh my God,” she suddenly moans. “This is amazing.” Her eyes roll a little, and I can’t help but laugh.
“That good?”
“Close. Try some.”
I do as she suggests and lift my fork to my lips.
She’s not wrong, it’s pretty incredible.
“Not bad. I know something I’d prefer to be eating, though.”
“You, Toby…”
“Doukas,” I offer.
“You, Toby Doukas, are wicked.”
“Something tells me you wouldn’t have it any other way,” I quip, diving back for more.
She watches me as if I’m the most fascinating creature in the world. “What?” I mumble around a mouthful.
She shakes her head, her blush deepening.
“Jodie, I think we’re long past the point of either of us being embarrassed. You know more about me than people I’ve known all my life.”
“So not everyone knows about your nocturnal activities then?”
I shake my head. “No. Mostly just Nico.”
“And some girls, I’m assuming. Not that I’m judging if you and Ni—”
“We’re close, but we’re not that close,” I laugh.
“Shame, I’d probably pay to watch you tie him up and have him at your mercy,” she says innocently, while I damn near spray her with half-eaten waffle.
“What?” I blurt once I manage not to choke.
“Just saying, he doesn’t seem like the kinda guy who’d let go like that. He’s like, pure alpha.”
“Oh, I don’t know. He can be… generous. With the right person.”
“Brianna certainly had no complaints.”
“And what about you?” I ask, turning the conversation away from where my best friend sticks his cock. That motherfucker has zero morals when it comes to women.
“From what I can remember, it was… okay.”
A smirk pulls at my lips. “Okay? I guess it’s a good job that my memory is better than yours then, huh?”
“Or you’re just that arrogant.”
A laugh rumbles in my chest.
“You think I’m bad, you should meet the rest of my friends,” I mutter, but I instantly realise my mistake when she looks up with genuine interest.
I’ve never introduced a girl to my friends. Not that I’ve ever had one I was even remotely interested in turning into a long-term thing. But I can hardly drag Jodie too deep into my life.
Nico might know the truth, but I can’t risk anyone else discovering what’s really going on with her. Or worse, them giving Jodie too much information, which will allow her to put two and two together.
