CHAPTERTWENTY-NINE
Stella
The next morning comes around all too quickly.
I knew I needed to just rip the Band-Aid off and go back to school, but the thought of getting out of the car and immediately being the object of everyone’s attention is enough to make me want to burrow under the covers with Seb and never emerge.
“What’s wrong, baby?” he murmurs behind me sleepily, his hand splaying over my stomach and pinning us closer.
“What makes you think anything is wrong?”
“You’re tense. I knew the moment you woke up. Your entire body locked up tight.”
His lips kiss across my shoulder, making me relax somewhat.
“Just thinking about school.”
“You’ve got nothing to worry about. No one will touch you there. Not now you’re one of us. You may or may not have noticed, but almost everyone is scared of us.”
“Because the five of you need your egos inflated any more than they already are,” I joke.
“Laugh all you like, but you love that you’ve got five of the baddest, most respected guys in the entire school watching your back.”
“Sure, I need more reasons for all the girls to hate me,” I laugh lightly as his hand slides lower.
“Since when do you care what anyone thinks of you?” he asks, nudging my thigh with the back of his hand so I can open up for him.
“I-I don’t,” I gasp when his fingers slide through my folds, lazily circling my clit. “I’m just done with the drama. And I’d rather my car stayed the color I want it to be.”
“Yeah, that took a bit of getting off.”
I still, his words hitting me.
“The guy thought it was going to need a whole new paint job.”
“Wait,” I say, rolling onto my back so I can look at him. “You got my car fixed?”
A smile curls at one side of his lips. “Yeah, baby. Who did you think sorted it?”
“Um…” I hesitate, heat hitting my cheeks. “I assumed it was my dad.”
He kisses along my jaw, his fingers dipping lower and teasing my entrance.
“I stole your key after you kicked me out, called a guy I know. He owed me a favour”
“Seb,” I half sigh, half gasp as he pushes deeper in, bending his fingers to find my G-spot. “I can’t believe you did that.”
“I couldn’t leave your beautiful baby like that.”
“You think she’s beautiful?”
“Yeah, Hellion,” he responds with a chuckle. “She is.”
By the time we’re both dressed in our Knight’s Ridge uniforms, we’re both much more relaxed and ready to tackle the day. Although, given half a chance, I’d more than happily strip out of it all and crawl back into bed.
Seb slams his fist down on Theo’s door as we pass. “Rise and shine, motherfucker. It’s a beautiful day.”
“Fuck off,” he barks in response, making us both laugh.
