CHAPTER26

LUCIA

Iblink in the dark room and for a second forget where I am. It’s not until I hear Matthias’ baby soft snores that I realize I’m in his room. I stretch my arms. I must have fallen asleep in here with him. I haven’t gotten much rest lately with everything that’s been going on.

I look at the clock on the nightstand. It’s two a.m.

Oh no! I was supposed to go to Jax’s room. What if he thinks I’ve changed my mind? What if he thinks I don’t want him when that couldn’t be further from the truth?

I climb out of Matthias’ bed, giving him a kiss on the head before I walk out of the room and close the door. I go across the hallway and stand outside Jax’s room. The house is so quiet that I imagine everyone can hear my heartbeat as it pounds in my ears right now.

The door creaks as I open it and step inside the dim room.

“Everything okay, Angel?” he asks in the low, gravelly tone that turns my insides to jelly.

“I’m sorry. I fell asleep with Matthias,” I say as I see him lying in bed with his arms behind his head, the covers resting just below his abdomen, giving me a wonderful view of his glorious torso.

“I know. I didn’t want to wake you.”

“You should have,” I whisper as I stand a few feet from the bed. My thighs tremble with nervous excitement. I have spent the night with this man before and it was the most incredible night of my life. Even if that’s all he wants again, I can handle it. I would rather have that than nothing. Ever since the incident in the field earlier today, I have thought about nothing but having his hands on me again.

We stare at each other and I wonder if he has changed his mind, but then he speaks.

“Come here,” he growls.

I step closer to the bed and as soon as I’m within touching distance, he reaches for my hand and pulls me to him until I’m straddling him. The cover is resting just below his abs now and I feel his cock twitching to life through the thin fabric.

Without another word, Jax reaches for my t-shirt and peels it off over my head before tossing it onto the floor, then his hands slide over my hips and stomach until he’s cupping my breasts. I moan as he squeezes gently, rubbing the pads of his thumbs over my pebbled nipples.

“These are fucking beautiful,” he groans as he squeezes harder.

I plant my hands on his abs to steady myself, my fingers flexing against his hard muscles as he kneads and rubs. I have never been so turned on by having them played with before but the wet heat is already pooling between my thighs.

When one of his hands coasts down my body and dips into my panties, I groan loudly.

He pushes his fingers between my thighs and a low growl rumbles through his chest. “You’re fucking soaking, Angel. How do you get so fucking wet when I’ve barely touched you?”

“I … don’t … know…” I gasp as he drives a finger inside me.

“Why did you come in here, Angel?” he growls.

“You know why, Jax,” I groan as I roll my hips over his cock, which is now rock-hard.

“Say it.”

“I want you to fuck me.”

“I want to fuck you too, but I have no condoms here at the house. I can go down to the ranch hands’ bunk house and ask the guys. I’m sure they’ll have some,” he says as he works his finger in and out of me, making me wetter and more needy with each passing second.

“I’m on birth control, if you’re clean?” I whimper, because the thought of him stopping what he’s doing and having to walk down to the bunk house and back again would be like torture.

“I’ve never fucked anyone without a condom before,” he hisses as he adds a second finger and I coat him in a rush of slick heat.

“Really?” I blink at him. “Never?”

“Never,” he grunts as he rocks his hips upwards and grinds his cock against me.

“I haven’t since Blake,” I groan. Blake was Matthias’s father and the only man I’ve ever not used protection with. Not there have been many men since him. He was kind of enough to put me off for life. Not to mention that having a toddler when you’re my age can be kind of a mood killer for a lot of guys.
