I’m thinking too much about this.
I pour myself a drink to calm down and when Sybil arrives, I am in a calmer state of mind.
I pour her a drink and sit across from her to go over the deal.
“So, what’s the news?” she asks. “Have I utterly ruined my future?”
I chuckle and say, “Actually, no. You’ve thought of everything. The option was a great idea. You leveraged a great interest rate and you have favorable terms in the event you need to pull out of the mortgage or resell. You’ve already filed for your developer’s license and scheduling an environmental impact study in advance was a stroke of brilliance. You should breeze through escrow and local and state building inspections. I think you could have your fourplex built and ready to lease in six months, maybe less.”
She smiles at me and I say, “You knew that already, didn’t you?”
She giggles. “I did, but it’s still nice to hear it from someone else.”
I return her smile and say, “Well, you did a great job, Sybil. You should be proud of yourself.”
She blushes and says, “Thank you, Daddy.”
We fall silent and stare at each other for a moment.
Then her lips are on mine and her hands are wrapped around me while I kiss her shoulders and neck, then move back to her lips.
