"Are you okay?" Rei asks when he catches my eye.
"Yeah," I say, bunching a blanket around my chest. I’m still practically naked, and it’s a weird space to be in with someone I barely know, though he’s not asking me to leave or anything. He sounds genuinely concerned. "Just…I don’t know, bad dreams."
He cocks his head. The only lamp in the room is the one on the desk, where the man in my dream was sitting. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really," I say. "I think I should probably get home."
"You can stay," he says softly. My gaze darts to the glass of wine next to him. I want to ask about it, but I don’t think I know him well enough. And I’m still recovering from whatever the fuck that dream was. "If you want to. No pressure."
"What if I have another nightmare? While you’re trying to sleep?"
"I don’t know," he replies with a smile. "I think I’ll probably live."
